Thanks shiny. My baby boy is fine. My husband already apply for my baby's citizenship in canadian high commission,dhaka. So still i have to email in cic? Few months ago i receive my caips it state that file is pending for review. Also last mnth my husband meet with coubcelor in high commission & ask abt my file but she gave no clue. Its 1.5 yr i'm waiying still no update. If i email to svo & ask abt my file status will they reply?

I dont know if applying for citizenship for ur new born would make cic know about the baby.But on cic website it clearly state that if theres any birth after you apply pr then you have to notify them asap.

Informing CIC of any changes

Consult the table below to know how to inform us of any changes following the submission of your application:

If there are any changes to your family status such as:
•marriage;
•divorce;
•births;
•deaths; or
•any other important information.

Then inform us immediately by email at: CPCM-EXTCOM @ cic.gc.ca


Note: Clearly state your name, date of birth and Universal Client Identification (UCI) or file number which is found at the top of the acknowledgment letter, if you received one from CPC-M.

IF you contact singapore on specific inquiry they WONT tell you the status of your file, however you can ask if they received your babys birth certificate and what is the next step. and if any letter was sent to you that you are not aware of. Its weird cuz you have been waiting for quite a while without your file going in process, netheir that you have been called for interview. Maybe there just Damn slow these days i dont know hun. :-\

Ask your husband to go see his mp to see if they can help to know why is taking so long.

The status of my wife's application was application received since Sep 2011. It only went "on process" last week. So, I guess Singapore office is processing very slow now, waiting time my be more than 1 year to get to "on process".

If your application went into "Ín Process" status they will be contacting you very soon either ask you to send in more supported documents or will ask you to re-med and submitting your passport. I am on the similar time line as you, here is my time line below.

- Application mail to CPC-Mississauga August 8th, 2011. ECAS= Application Received
- AOR Received by CPC-Mississauga August 9th, 2011. ECAS= Application Received
- File Transfer to Singapore November 7th, 2011. ECAS= Application Received
- September 19th 2012. ECAS= In Process
- October 8th 2012 requested from Singapore VO to re-medical, police clearance & submitting Passport.
- (Medical Received in Manila 11-5-2012) ECAS= Medical results have been received.
- November 13, 2012 My wife home address changed to my Canadian address and ECAS changed to "Decision Made"

You should email SVO and see what is their response. Please see below from a forum member he emailed to updated his Canadian contact telephone and also asked what is the status of his application...please see below what SVO replying back.

"Dear Sir,

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

This Family Class application was received by our office on DD-MM-YYYY after being forwarded by Case Processing Centre Mississauga. Please note that we do not send an Acknowledgement of Receipt for sponsored spouse, partner, and child applications, given that they are processed very quickly. This application is currently pending initial review, after which we will contact the applicant directly to advise the outcome of the review and any next steps.

We are striving to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible. We continue to meet our commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners, and children. Processing times are calculated from the date the application is approved by Case Processing Centre Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing. For individual cases, actual processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the application and the number of new applications received by the visa office.

Applicants can check the status of their case on the CIC website by clicking on Client Application Status. For actual processing times of permanent resident applications in Singapore for the last 12 months, please click here. Applicants may also refer to our website, www.singapore.gc.ca, for more information about processing times."

hope evryone doin great so far. Just been a member of this site. I do follow this site often for it gives quite usefull information for ppl who is hunting clues for this immiration thing.

bold9900 ecas sent the same reply to me. They said my file pendin innitial review. I have waitin since last 10 months to see it in process dnt knw whn the time will come.

Thank u bold for wishin that. But my file still showin just recieved. It has not been in process status til now. My file was recieved on Feb 3rd. Sponsorship decision was made on April 26th. Till then its showin just recieved and medical result been recieved too. I dont know how long I have to wait

First of all i would like to say this is an amazing forum and i regularly follow it as I am on the same boat as you guys. I applied for my wife who resided in Bangladesh (Dhaka)

I sent my application to CPC-Mississauga Feb 2nd 2012, CPC-Mississauga approved and sent the application to Singapore May 17th 2012 and till says Application received.

Its really a shame that Singapore has become so slow now. Yes i know they receive a lot of application, but they should give top priority to spousal sponsorship. Long distance after marriage is the worst. I already visited her thrice in a year. I only get 4 weeks vacation a year from my company so its not feasible at all.

Anyways i really pray and hope that Singapore understands our situation and process the application faster.

Got reply frm SVO but they only mention they receive my docs. No update for my file. . @Shiny where ur husbands interview will take? Is it vfs or high commission?

I have few questions to the members.

1. My medical has expired by now. My file has not start processing. Now should I do my re medical and send it without aking them? Or should I email them asking about the re medical. I just dont want to waste time. When the process will start if they ask for remedical it might slow down the process even more. Please tell me what others members found usefull.

2. I sent them my new borns birth certificate via registerd mail. After one month I emailed them to know whether they got it or not. But they did not say yes or no about the specific enquiry but asked to send the birth certificate. Now does it mean they did not get the birth cerificate? If they got it why would they ask to send it? I dont undestand why dont the visa officer reply clearly. They should have written No we did not get ur mail so send it again. They did not say no or yes just send it. What the hell does it mean. I again mailed them that should I send it again but no reply from them. Now what should I do? Send the update again or just wait.

3. When I submitted the file we had less proofs now in this one year we collected more evidences. Now should I send those now as an update or just wait if they ask it later on?

All of our interviews will be held at the high comission of canada in bd.

should my husband wear suit & tie? i told him a nice long sleeve shirt with a black pants ands shoes would do. first impression is very important just like a job interview. i think a suit n tie is overdressing.what u guys think. I am teaching him all about first impression,i know all abt it ;D ;D

hello afrose. Hope ur fine. my file was recieved on 3rd Feb. Transferd on 26th April since then its showing received. I mailed them whether they got my babys birth certificate or not but they replied this.

Following initial review, please provide this officewith the following by regular mail. All documents that are not in either English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation.

-birth certificate for your newborn child.

Once the above have been received, we will advisethe outcome of the review.


now I dont know should I send it again? What did they write to u? Did they assure u that they got ur mail? Or just a general reply like they wrote me. Please share
