hello afrose. Hope ur fine. my file was recieved on 3rd Feb. Transferd on 26th April since then its showing received. I mailed them whether they got my babys birth certificate or not but they replied this.

Dear Mehfuza

Following initial review, please provide this officewith the following by regular mail. All documents that are not in either English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation.

-birth certificate for your newborn child.

Once the above have been received, we will advisethe outcome of the review.

now I dont know should I send it again? What did they write to u? Did they assure u that they got ur mail? Or just a general reply like they wrote me. Please share
Hi Mehfuza,

I think your child birth certicate is not translated & Certified in English that why you got this reply from SVO. Just let you know email will do you don't have to physical mail the certificate...I only emailed SVO of my child's birth certificate.

BTW, did you apply the Proof of Citizenship for your new born? If you did also email them the official receipt from the High Commissioner of Canada and your UCI# of your new born's file...I been through this it's a pain..I hope this info will help.

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply bold. I really dont know why they wrote it because my daughter is born at newyork USA. Her birth certificate is in pure English which we then noterized from a registered officer. I also emailed them the copy. Even after all these they wrote that. This visa officer sounds like robot to me. They miss flesh n blood indeed. I did not apply for my daughters citizenship as she is a by born American and USA doesnt allow dual citizenship so I will keep the USA one so far. Please provide me with any suggesion u have.

Our application moved to "In Process" on November 16th. Recent GCMS notes indicate "Recommend WAV" under Eligibility notes, along with positive comments regarding our relationship. Hopefully this means a PPR soon, or perhaps a letter requesting additional documents. I will post again when something further develops, so that people can reference our timeline.

It's too long of a process for me to re-hash it out here. There is plenty of information on this site and on CIC's site on how to do it. Just search "order GCMS" or something like that on this site or "ATIP" on CIC's site. Basically it is a print-out from their computer system that has all of their internal notes for your file. The most useful part is at the end where you see their comments. Costs $5 to order but you must be in Canada or designate someone in Canada to order it on your behalf.

Thanks bluenoser! I Really appreciate your help and this site through which I got to know about this system otherwise I would never know. It sounds an amazing system to have a clue on what is going on. I have already started searchin about this GCMS thing. by the way I have some questions regarding this. could GCMS provide u with what u were looking for I mean satisfy ur information need?? do I have to paper mail or can just email the forms? And how long it took for them to reply u? I hope to use this soon.

I have the same time line as yours.

Hei Guys:

First of all i would like to say this is an amazing forum and i regularly follow it as I am on the same boat as you guys. I applied for my wife who resided in Bangladesh (Dhaka)

I sent my application to CPC-Mississauga Feb 2nd 2012, CPC-Mississauga approved and sent the application to Singapore May 17th 2012 and till says Application received.

Its really a shame that Singapore has become so slow now. Yes i know they receive a lot of application, but they should give top priority to spousal sponsorship. Long distance after marriage is the worst. I already visited her thrice in a year. I only get 4 weeks vacation a year from my company so its not feasible at all.

Anyways i really pray and hope that Singapore understands our situation and process the application faster.

Good Luck guys.

I ordered GCMS in Sept., also found "Recommend WAV" under Eligibility notes, security and criminality didn't start yet. Ecas changed to "in process" since mid-Oct, and still haven't heard/received anything from SVO yet....

Does anyone know what "Recommend WAV" means?
