Hi,

I was thinking of sending a PR renewal application, post dated. It takes about 3 days to reach CIC through mail, add to this the week end of 2 days. So I want to post it, say for example today, post dated signed for a date 5 days ahead of today's date. This is just to make up some more number of days in the residency requirements. Say if I have 740 days, this scheme would make it 745 days, that is better than 740 days. Any ideas or suggestions, or cautions? Thanks in advance?

You should use the date that you signed the document. So that can't be any later than the day you mail it. If you want a few extra days, then I you should postpone mailing the application.

Look up the words misrepresentation and inadmissibility and you will see why this is a bad idea.
