Short term via Vrbo or Airnbnb in Vancouver

I'm looking for short term rental in Vancouver for period of 2-3 weeks before i find apartment that i can rent permanently. What would be good area in Vancouver for first couple weeks ? I won't have the car there and mostly will be taking bus, but trying to pick descent area where it will be fairly close to everything.
