I think you need to bring your work visa paper to Service Canada in order to get a SIN number.
  1. SIN: @DIDI2019, I agree with @weirdduck . From my research the hard copy document is required. However it takes about 15 minutes or less to get the SIN.
  2. OHIP: I get the impression that AIP is required for OHIP. See: https://www.ontario.ca/page/apply-ohip-and-get-health-card#section-2. However, I have seen a post earlier in this thread where someone said that you can go in and try your luck with the AOR. See: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/september-2019-inland-spousal-pr-owp.652600/page-35#post-8357523. I don't quite understand how that works, but you may try if you want.

For guys who are approved what is our next step? How do we get OHIP and SIN? If anyone knows what is the procedure please let me know.
Need to go to Service Canada, but please take your passport and hard copy of original work permit along. They will ask for basic info like parents first and last name, phone number, and current address.

I got mine done this week and it literally takes 5 mins. For OHIP, you need AIP. Otherwise a full time working status for Ontario based employer for 6 Months will get you OHIP.

I got approved as the lady in Ontario Services office said I was under:
"have applied for permanent residence, and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has confirmed that:
  • you meet the eligibility requirements to apply
  • you have not yet been denied"

Same boat, received September 18th and no OWP. Sorry to hear you're still waiting but you're not alone!
Same here, resubmitted my workpermit and they recieved it September 18th nothing yet... so hopefully just a couple days later than the rest

We'll be in the next wave! Sometimes I have to remind myself that there are surely hundreds of people applying every month who aren't on forums or Facebook, so even if we seem like "the only ones" who haven't received something yet, there's definitely other chunks. Just keep staying positive, it'll come.

I tried for OHIP but they said AIP is required - she even confirmed it by calling their head office. So it seems it depends on the clerk servicing you.

Just had a call from Mississauga because the OWP people in Edmonton used funds they werent supposed to. So movement in both PR and OWP hopefully for me haha had to resubmit a receipt. So make sure to keep all the payment receipts people
