May I ask you What are the nationalities of sponsor and applicant?
And do you need biometric ?
Now everyone needs biometrics , when we applied in September it was not required for my husband who is from the Dominican Republic. I am not sure if they will request it later on in the process , but I doubt it. We are at the medical request stage and that will be done next week. Positive thoughts to everyone , I hope we all get through this quickly .

They have listed countries that require biometrics.
All Europe does effective July 2018.
I also hope we will all get through this quickly!

Sponsor is Naturalized Canadian from the Philippines and applicant is a Filipino. We were not required biometrics when we submitted our application in Sept. That changed Dec 31st, all new applications submitted that date onwards will need biometrics done

Hello,
I don’t think there should be a problem as far as they said that you need to send the csq application with that letter.
I don’t know what your letter said but mine said :

Madame / Monsieur,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
