For my situation, I couldn't log into eCAS with my original UCI from my PGWP. When I received my AOR, it included a file number and a new UCI and I was able to use both of those to login. I guess not every UCI from work permits allows you to log into eCAS
A new UCI- that's interesting!

i'm not sure if all applicants receive this, but in my case, i did for some reason. my original UCI from my PGWP was the one i put on my generic application and that UCI could never work when i tried to log in with it and it still doesn't work. not sure why i got a new UCI but as long as it works, i'm not gonna question it :)

I checked with my bank and the draft is still Outstanding! :(

My application was received on September 17 I believe and the draft has not been cashed as of yesterday.

I spoke to my bank people and they said, CIC takes a long time to cash the drafts as there is no expiry unlike CC payment.

Applications seemed to be moving very fast in August, I guess it's not gonna be as fast now in September.

You are right.
September is moving too slow......

Hi,

I filed my PR application on September 24th and the application was delivered on September 26th at the Sydney office. I wish I had discovered this forum before I applied.

I applied under the Arranged employment category. My case is a bit complex though. My company never had to do an HRSC opinion because I was transferred from our US firm and was granted a work permit as we received an exemption. My lawyer mentioned that I could apply for the PR under the same rules.
I paid via a credit card, which hasn't been charged yet. I had a few issues with my application. One of my previous employers didn't provide an experience letter, however they provided a record of employment which is handled by a third party. It wasn't in the exact format as mentioned in the checklist, but I explained all that in the cover letter.

Another thing is that both my spouse and myself didn't have formal birth certificates. So we provided our school records showing date of birth. Do you think that is acceptable or is there any work around that?

Any insights would be much appreciated.

How long does it generally take for them to charge / encash the fees from the date they receive the application? My application was received by the Sydney office on September 26th and I sent in my credit card information but it hasn't been charged yet. Should I be worried?
