Hi fellow applicants,
As per CIC guidelines, we need to submit copy of documents. It nowhere asks for notarization (except for translated docs), but I also read on this forum, that by certifying documents, we might make the processing faster. Taking this into account, I was planning to certify few key documents (not all) such as passport copy, letter for reference,education(post grad), birth certificate.

Can anyone of you tell me if this idea is okay or will it create any kind of confusion on why I certified only few docs?

I am planing to apply in september, I had few doubts regarding filling the forms

1) IMM 5562 Suplimentry travel information : I never travel any other country when I was in india , after I came to canada since 3 years I didnt go back to my country,,,,
Do I need to fill the form details like date of entry to canada From, TO (Present), Purpose( student) and duration of days (how we write no. of days) ?


2) How to arrange the documents when sending to CIO, Can we staple the application forms?
Please suggest me, Thanks in advance

Do I need to fill the form details like date of entry to canada From, TO (Present), Purpose( student) and duration of days (how we write no. of days) ?

I don't think so .. you need to put travel info that are made to countries other than Canada or your home country (India, in your case). So just put None for you. If applicable do accordingly for your spouse and dependent(s).


2) How to arrange the documents when sending to CIO, Can we staple the application forms?

In the checklist, it says to left all documents unbounded. I recommend to to follow the checklist

I would suggest you to clip the documents instead of stapling them. You can use one clip for all the application forms and another one for all the enclosures(documents) I have done the same. I wish all the best for September applicants
