Is this inland application? Have you tried calling CIC to follow up?

I did and they said i have only to wait and other than that no other suggestion.

Wondering if everyone here keeps working within Canada while your application is on process, or anyone got a new job or quit the job and went back to your home country while waiting for PR? I am really considering quitting my job right now and I am in e-AOR stage)

I applied for PR 15 December 2015 and I did medical twice 2016 and 2017 it's about 30 months now but cic is still processing my background and security check. I don't know how long it will take.

For CEC stream, there is no restrictions related to employment. So you can quit after you are applying for PR.
