Why are they only drawing 779 candidates in each draw? What's so special about the number 779? I tried to guess - the math may be that there are roughly 46 weeks still remaining in 2015 and so 779 * 46 = 35834 more ITAs that will at least be issued this year.dukhi said:

Determination — number of invitations
1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on February 7, 2015 and ending on February 8, 2015 is 779.
Required rank
(2) Foreign nationals who, on February 7, 2015 at 11:59:59 UTC, have been assigned a total of 818 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014 and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.
That means they are took lower as 218 with out LMIA. Scoring 400+ with out LMIA CIC even not valuing that skills. I guess Aus immigration is far better than Canada
Well I have seen some candidates in the spreadsheet with scores in high 700s too. They might be next. I personally feel - if someone is getting only 180-250 points on core factors after excluding their 600 points from job offer - then how are they going to contribute to the economy when they either don't have qualification nor language skill nor any other trade certification? I mean they can get on an average 80-90 points just for the age factor. So their other factors would have hardly given them any points. Hard to believe how much importance this new EE system is putting on having a job offer or PNP unlike Australia's new system...dukhi said:

Even Canadian cannot become qualified trade person within a year unless the person has all the required hours.
Old Canadian immigration system was way better even though it took some time for applicants.
This new system has potential to make many innocent people fraud.

With in no time they will review this system, because every body or unhappy about the system. I saw on news on CNBC where in lecture is going to loose his job because of this EE, CIC even does not care to update about the cap filling for previous year. I am one of victim in that just with one day delay. US is better than this I guess. Surely in future if it continues like this Immigration levels for Canada will decrease
It's impressive how many people were between 886 and 818 and also that they only have about 200 points and are being considered more qualified than people with 400+ points.
