Hi,
I am currently awaiting my PR (provincial nom) which I submitted July 2016, and as I’d used up both of my two year permits, I had to get a bridging visa. That visa was about to run out so I applied for a second BOWP.
In the six weeks since the first BOWP ran out, I’ve been able to work on ‘Implied Status’, but as an OTR truck driver I haven’t been able to cross the border.
Today I received news that my BOWP application was successful (very relieved). I also have an ETA.
My question is:
Now that I have been approved for a second BOWP, and I’m awaiting the paper part of the permit, can I leave the country in my truck or must I have the paper permit in my passport before I cross?
Thanks in advance.
