Bridging open work permits (PNP)

Appreciates some insights on the situation I’m having.

I submitted my PR Application under PNP back in November 2024. I still haven’t received AOR but I received a temporary file number via email from IRCC for my PR application. My current work permit expires in September 2025. I’m planning to apply for a bridging open work permit. Is it possible to apply for a BOWP with the temporary file number provided or must I wait for the AOR to come?

No, you can't apply for BOWP with temporary AOR. You need actual AOR . You can apply for closed work permit with help of your employer and WPSL from province .
