Hi folks, have any August test takers gotten their oath invites? I have seen some July test takers getting oaths the past couple of weeks but have not noticed August month folks. Fingers crossed ..

Congrats all for getting oath invites. You guys are lucky to be done so early with CIC.

I have been waiting since March and have followed up with them so many time. God knows why will they not schedule me for oath. I kept asking them if there is anything wrong with my file and they said everything is good. We are just waiting for it to be scheduled. What is such a big deal in scheduling an oath when you already doing it for others.

You are not alone. My wife's status is still in process. Is yours DM?

My test was July 27 at Scarborough (passed). No date but its now DM on ECAS. The officer told me during the interview that it will be a 4 month wait (not making this up). Found it to be quite a long wait, so lets see.

I wonder what makes the Citizenship officer say x months or y months. Is there a logic behind it or what?

I have heard many different answers from people in the Scarborough office - 2/3 months , 3/4 months , 4 months....

Guessing is primarily just the load. Each office is different. And based on the load we are told 4, 3, 2 ...months.

What's comforting is that there are others who are in the same boat....so this isn't a one off situation, save for the ones who've been waiting like crazy times like over a year.

Is the oath group size same as test group size.
In other words how many test groups would be clubbed together in a single oath ceremony..

As many July test takers/DM are being scheduled for Oct 1st week, will the August test takers/DM scheduled by mid of October or would be Nov 1st week ?

That would in any case mean the august ones cant vote this time.
