why the oath invitation doesn't say how many guests can I bring? can I bring two?

TL;DR version: no limit as long as hall capacity allows (also if there is a limit, it is usually stated on the invite). If it's full, they will have to wait outside the ceremony room. Apparently, there is a TV they can watch the oath ceremony on live.

I think common courtesy dictates 1 or 2 guests at the most. I'd stick with 1.

I think 2 people are good.I believe you could get away with 3,also they have a screen outside the room they could see the Ceremony on.

I finally got the oath invitation an hour ago. Thank you everyone for your support and feedback. Here is my timeline.

App sent: October 12, 2017
App received: October 13, 2017
AOR: November 18, 2017
In process: December 7, 2017
Test notice: May 1, 2018
Test taken: May 28, 2018
Decision made: May 30, 2018
Oath invitation: August 15, 2018
Oath ceremony: September 4, 2018 at 9:00 AM in Mississauga

Hi All,

We (spouse and myself) took oath and became citizens today. There were 60 people from 26 countries.

Thanks everyone on the forum that helped me through this journey.

As we are from Indian origin, there is still few more steps for us to surrender our Indian passports and get OCI, apart from applying for Canadian passport.

Good luck to everyone waiting for test / oath. I hope your wait is short.
