Hi everyone,
I am a Nigerian currently living in US as undocumented immigrant. I am currently considering coming over to Canada to seek refugee protection. Kindly advice me on the process to follow.

Thank you

How long have you been in the US? Many Nigerian applicants are being refused asylum in Canada. Do you have proof of recent persecution in Nigeria?

I have been in US for less than a year and do not have any document with me to proof persecution. What are my chances?

Nobody can say but you have to prove that you have been persecuted to get asylum. The large volume of Nigerian applicants has made it more difficult for Nigerian asylum seekers.

You must be able to prove persecution to be approved.

Just being a Nigerian make enough chance of doubt..see the statistics of Nigerians asking for refugee and the refused ones, its discouraging..sorry to say that

Nigerians y'all are NOT refugees just seeking for economic opportunity. Statistics of claims denied for Nigerians far exceeds acceptance. So better try ya luck in USA
