It is mandatory

What about countries that don't have tax?? I.e GCC countries..
Do we need to mention anywhere that there is no tax?

That user is a troll so ignore their comments. CIC doesn't ever ask for tax documents.

Hi Asivad,

CIC tool only asks for month and year of job start and end, not the actual dates.So if you enter the start date as Jan 2014 and end date as Dec 2014 ( though your actual dates might be 15-Jan-2014 to 10-Dec-2014), the tool does consider it as 1 year and gives the points accordingly for 1 year work experience.

Let me know your thoughts.

Sure the online tool will consider it as one year but when time comes to upload employment verification documents, they will ask for start and end dates. That ultimately shows them how long you worked for.

Then for such cases, online tool which assigns the score and based on which you get ITA does not make sense if the score is not accurate.
You just added what was requested.

This does not look correct, Isn't it?

I've had this debate on the forum many times over and I still firmly believe that CIC expects applicants to be cognizant of the fact that the system gives them points almost a month in advance and that, sometimes, they don't deserve those points yet. In such cases, recommend declining any ITA received on the basis of such points and waiting for the subsequent draws when one can rightfully claim the ITA.

Others disagree though.

When a candidate is issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA), the ability to submit an electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR) automatically appears in their MyCIC account. The e-APR is a dynamic form that asks the applicant questions based on the information provided in their profile (e.g., if the applicant declares a spouse, the system prompts the applicant with questions about the spouse).

The system automatically pre-populates information from a candidate’s Express Entry profile into their e-APR. Applicants only need to verify that the information remains correct or amend as necessary. Since much of the application information is already captured, applicants will only have to answer questions related to family composition and admissibility, plus a few others.

When submitting their e-APR, applicants must provide supporting documentation to satisfy an officer of the claims made both in their Express Entry profile (on the basis of which they were invited to apply) and their e-APR.

If a candidate submits an e-APR but cannot substantiate the information upon which they were invited to apply, the candidate’s application will be refused on A11.2. Misrepresentation [A40] will also be considered, as warranted. The penalty for wilful misrepresentation is a five-year ban on applying to Canada.
