yes, what LW says makes sense. They are treating those cateogry of application as a separate pile.

Hi Rocky2727272

Have you heard from the CHC ND about your case specific enqury? Thanks
Hi Have not heard anything yet from CHC ND. I do not know why are they taking so much time. I will update once I receive any information.

Yes Rocky do let us know about the response on your case specific enquiry. you should get a response within two weeks of sending it.

Adding to this thread since I too am waiting for updates from ND (under 0111, submitted full docs end June, got and completed medical early Aug, waiting for PPR)

I think it the only explanation is that some checks/verification is being done on our specific cases. Probably straightfwd cases go through faster. Also another reason I can think of is that some of us submitted additional docs/provided clarification post submission of full docs to ND. And maybe such applications got put into a separate pile?
Maybe but that cannot be a reason for delay if we provide additional documents. Yes one can make out about cases which are simple and clear do get process faster.

Hi All,

Just received a reply to my case specific inquiry today. Its the same standard template stating "Further investigations are necessary in relation with the processing of your application. Therefore, the time needed for the processing of this application has fallen outside the timeframe set out in the AOR letter."

I do not know how do the process some cases in just 1 day and some in not even 40 days.

Seniors. Please advise. "in process" since June 25. sent email to London CHC Dec 5. Reply "We have received the original copies of the documents and your file is currently awaiting officer review". What does this mean? No med or further communication.

As per them (CIC) its background checks going on.

Hi rocky272727

Thanks. What is " File awaiting officer Review"? It has already been reviewed and is in Process.

Nothing once a file is put in process it has to pass the background check. They are conducting a background check and and officer it reviewing it thats it. I am under same situation

Hi,
Sounds like there was a request for additional docs after you received your AOR, was'nt there? Without any request of additional docs you could have received your meds maximum 6 months from the AOR, with the additional request, a BFD (Bring Forward Date) has been set usually 3 months from the time they found out that additional docs are needed. On this date they will again open your file to check if this time documents are complete. Once they find it complete, then background check commence. And this takes another 2-3 months. In my opinion there will be a delay of at least 6 months with the processing in cases where additional docs have been requested. And an additional 6 months if addtional medical tests are being requested. CAIPS will give you an idea of when this BFD be.

Hi Aspire,

In my case, I got additional docs request (which I was give just 45 days to submit) plus medical in one go Aug 1. So based on what you suggest above, the BFD should be around Nov, which is when background check should start. I did receive a call from the local visa office (call center probably) end of Nov to clarify travel history (forms were sent along with medicals). And you say background check takes 2-3 months so ideally I should hear back from them with the PPR end of Jan 2010 or early Feb.

They usually do this by phone. And they have wide experience on how to detect fake documents. They have been in the immigration business since many many years ago and have dealt with all races from all over the world. And if they have a doubt abouthsomething, they will schedule and interview. And believe me, through the interview they are well trained to detect if you are lying or not.

Dear Rocky & All,
