Ah, well, I just remember forum members mentioning something about system maintenance and draws. But I can't remember what the link was :) Really hope there'll be a draw tomorrow, if not, it'll set the tone for the next few months :/
Just because you have come out with this news.. See this old thread.. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/draws-pattern-know-when-there-will-be-a-draw.480148/

The person says that there is never a draw once you see system maintenance on tuesday.. however, the very next draw after this thread started, had server maintenance message on Tuesday and Wednesday there was a draw. :) :p

so you never know what CIC is been planning!!

Seniors please advise
We need clarification with my Qatar PCC

For close to two years I was engaged with a firm in Doha
The entire tenure of my employment has been on multiple business visa(10 nos)

I have never stayed in the country for more than 3 months in a row
I have always exited and returned - I do have a statement of the entry and exits form the Borders and Passport control.

After extensive and exhaustive efforts to obtain a PCC from
Qatar I have been given the following options from CEID

A PCC covering the duration of my last visit visa
A PCC covering the duration of my longest stay in Qatar

The updated PCC requirements on the CIC website state that any stay has to be 6 months in a row or longer only then a PCC is required.

Appreciate your guidance on the same as it’s do with PCC and criminality check for the PR
Yes I think you are right. You can choose one of the above options just to be on the safe side and mention in your letter of explanation that you never lived there for more than 6 months, hence are not eligible for a PCC covering all your visits. I have also visited Singapore many times on social visit visa, but never lived there for more than 30 days in a row, hence no need to worry about PCC. I used to exit the country after 30 days, re-enter after spending 3-4 days in Malaysia.

Thanks for your guidance Nomad

Concern is I was engaged with this firm for 2 years and am claiming the points for the NOC
The stay has never been more than 3 months but for a two year period with entry and exists each time

Would it advisable to still include the one PCC or would that raise a red flag

Should I forgo the experience all together as I would still have other years to claim experience from

Thanks and apologies for being exhaustive

I was also worrying about the impact of no maintenance on possibility of the draw 2 weeks ago. But, they are not correlated anymore, so, just wait and see. Odds are there will be a draw tomorrow :D

I am also planning to forgo my husband's job experience where the reference letters are not up to IRCC standards. If you have enough points without it, don't use it. The simpler the things are, the higher your chances to get the PR. I recently went through all the documents including POF of my friend who received PR last year. It couldn't be simpler than that. Just one page of POF, just one job experience, and straight forward application. I will do the same this time around.

Yeah, I'm aware that my situation is different from some of the other people here. Still, this is a great community to participate in, and hopefully I can help people by answering questions and offering support. Hopefully you will get your ITA soon too! It must be diffucult to be so close, but yet never know what might happen. Good luck!

IMO do not show this under Work Experience and instead you can put this duration under Personal Details after you get ITA. Claiming work experience will definitely mean you sould have stayed for that duration and PCC may be required. Keep it simple as @NOMAD2017 wisely said :p

I agree, psychologically that would be a boost for all of us sitting in the 430s. A cut-off in 430s for first time in 2018 will mean there is hope for us :)
Even i would love to see 439, but we don't know for sure how many are on 440. Worst case would be 440 with May or June as Tie date.

My guess would be around 500-800! Even based on the poll and extrapolating exactly..we see around 900 (out of 7500) on 440..but assuming 440s participation rate is higher than 431 to 435..i would say definitely lower than 900..may be 650! Moreover last draw there were around 200 flushed out..so i will be not suprised if there are only 500 on 440!

In call calculations everyone is looking at additions of 441 & above. It took 2 draws to clear out all 441, same would be case with 440.
