Also in addition to what @PixelDust inscribe , if you are really interested in pursuing PNP, it is stupendously explained in the http://www.canadavisa.com/provincial-nomination-program.html . you can browse and analyse the prospective stream which you can apply.

In my personal experience, SINP and ONIP doesn't require job offer.
Nova Scotia (Category B) and New Brunswick also have PNP streams that don't require job offer.

Nova Scotia category B is currently closed, but there is speculation that it might reopen one of these days. It was last open early in July for a few hours, and then it was closed due to high volume/system issues ...
https://novascotiaimmigration.com/move-here/nova-scotia-demand-express-entry/

Currently New Brunswick is open to workers in the following NOC codes who have also attended an info session since September 2015:
http://www.welcomenb.ca/content/wel-bien/en/immigrating/content/HowToImmigrate/NBProvincialNomineeProgram.html
  • Information systems analysts and consultants (2171)
  • Computer network technician (2281)
  • Software engineers and designers (2173)
  • Database analysts and data administrators (2172)
  • Computer programmers and interactive media developers (2174)
  • Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (3012)
  • Licensed practical nurses (3233)
  • Cooks (6322)
  • Restaurant and food service managers (0631)
  • Accounting technicians and bookkeepers (1311)
  • Managers in health care (0311)
  • Retail sales supervisors (6211)
  • Financial auditors and accountants (1111)

Here is a list of upcoming New Brunswick info sessions. Unfortunately for me, there are none in the US :(

Glad to witness someone like you.
BTW, would you mind in conducting session to our HR's about their true role? I always observe they are heavily biased and inclined more towards management not the concern of employee :D
At least in the US, HR's responsibility is to the company, not to employees. So unfortunately they are not meant to be the allies of us employees. I think it's the same way in Canada. Many large companies have the official policy of issuing only very generic letters of reference because they are afraid of being sued (again, protecting the company)..

Thanks for all the info. Highly appreciated
For Australia, you can check your points here:
https://www.border.gov.au/visas/supporting/Pages/skilled/the-points-table.aspx

For New Zealand, go to this page,
https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/about-visa/skilled-migrant-category-resident-visa
scroll down under The application process, click on the red Check criteria button, select your country of citizenship and location and whether you are including others on your application, and click on View. That will take you to a form to fill out to determine how many points you would have.

You get up to 15 extra points if you have work experience in a skills shortage occupation:
http://skillshortages.immigration.govt.nz/long-term-skill-shortage-list.pdf

You need at least 100 points to submit an EOI, but currently they are only selecting EOIs with 160 points or above.

Actually for New Zealand it's not so tough. They ask for exact the same documentation as Canada (of course from authorities chosen by NZ for degree qualification and medical), language results are valid for both, minimun requirement 6.5 in IELTS, age brackets are more fair comparing to Canadian ones. And there is submit profile fee unlike CIC pool, so only really interested ones, prepared with documents and determined to immigrate will join the pool. That's why there is currently around 3T people in the pool.
My concern with New Zealand's process is they seem to be harsh in evaluating foreign degrees. As I mentioned in another post, they seem to be evaluating American and Canadian master's degrees and also medical degrees only as equivalent to New Zealand bachelor degrees. With only a bachelor's equivalent, I would have only 135 points, but I would have 155 (still 5 points short of the current 160 point requirement) with master's equivalent.

I read a little more about Australia and New Zealand, and it seems that both countries do not have as many job opportunities as Canada, and New Zealand slightly fewer than Australia. The weather is also warm and can get pretty hot in both countries, which could be a plus for those of you coming from warmer climates. I prefer colder climates, so that's another positive for Canada for me.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll investigate it more into detail.

I agree... But they too have a list of Occupations. And in the last 2 yrs or less, I have seen that they have taken out many occupations.. So again a factor which is limited... I was following the NZ immigration since 2011.. Noticed so many changes. But I should say Canadian immigration compared to other countries opened up to welcome new people to the land.

Just sharing my observations since 2011
Totally agree! I find it hard to get a resident visa in NZ and it's getting tougher. If anyone is interested in NZ, it's better to start soon. They increased the points threshold from 140 to 160 last year. Besides, the applicant can only claim points for his/her partner if the partner speaks English at the same level as the applicant (IELTS overall score of 6.5), regardless the partner's qualification. If the applicant has a valid job offer then it may be easier. I'm doing a PhD in NZ now and after I graduate, my point is still less than 160 (unless I get a job offer).

FYI I found this discussion forum for immigration to New Zealand that seems helpful:
https://www.enz.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6

I haven't signed up, and now I am also thinking New Zealand would not be a good option for me, given that they recently raised the minimum score, and it seems unlikely I would even make it to 155, and the country is smaller and with fewer job opportunities. I like living in large cities with many opportunities. I'll need to look more closely at Australia (while I keep praying that OINP will reopen soon or I otherwise make some progress to Canada this year!).

When the crs will drop guys
no one can know. But if you're on a low score (under 400) I doubt it will drop that much.

Hi there,

Hope to get all experts' help here soon!

My situation is:

I got my ITA on Aug9. In that round, my score was 445. Minim score was 433. In my profile, I chose I am married but spouse not accompany. On Aug 10, I got my re-evaluated lauguage score. With the new language score, if I have my spouse with me, my score would be 433.
QUESTION: when I submit my application, can I include those two changes into my documents since it still meets the minimum score in that round?

Thanks ahead!

Wow, 1,000 nominations in one month
Yes, they sure issued a lot this past month, an average of 29.588 nominations per day. In the previous 2 months, they issued 491 between July 10 and August 8, at a rate of 16.931 per day, and 412 between June 19 and July 10, at a rate of 19.619 per day.

They still list a 30-60 day processing time for HCP applicants, even though recently many on the OINP threads have reported going around or over 60 days, so I hope this means they are almost done clearing their backlog and will reopen the HCP stream soon.
