Now it totally depends on AINP, if they r picking files based on NOC codes you shud be good in couple of months from now. but if its based on Categories ( SRS or EDS) I cant say. as you still have time, I recommend you to apply under SRS category as it is faster (way faster). all of my friends (3) who applied under SRS engineering occupations have received their certificates in 2-3 months

I applied SRS Engineering Occupations already in Dec 2014. When did they apply, beginning of last year or the end?

Do you know what is approximate waiting time (not that from AINP website) for EDS Engineering occupations. I applied in Dec 2014, the same noc 2253.

OK, That's good. coz in your earlier post, u mentioned EDS so I was confused. they applied around October,2014

So they received the nominations this year (2015)

2 of them in dec, 2014. 1 in January 2015

So probably they were processed under 2014 cap. 2015 processing for Engineering Occupations might be different :(

One more questions, were their nocs 2253 as well?

This is just a misconception man that if you apply under strategic stream you will get your certificate faster.i applied under strategic stream on august 2014 and still waiting for nomination.

Did you apply under Engineering Occupations Category?

Nope post graduate worker noc 6211

How long does it normally take for NOC 2173 EDS - IGC stream ?

That's why you are waiting longer than Engineering Occupation Category applicants. I haven't heard about someone who is waiting more than 6 months in Eng. cat, but I might be wrong.

So it is understood that all Engineering Occupations are in top priority list. Food & retail Occupations are least priority.

No idea what is top priority occupation and what is not. I just assumed, checking processing time of Eng. Occucp. applicants, that it is highly possible to get nomination in less than 6 months, not as the website says 14 month or so.
