Maybe not everybody saw the small update on the processing times page last Friday, but a lot of work permits are going to expire before getting the nomination. So be careful with this note:

Reminder: You must maintain a valid work permit throughout the AINP application and assessment process. Only applicants under the Strategic Recruitment Stream, Engineering Occupations Category are exempt from this requirement. If you are unable to provide the AINP with a valid work permit or implied status based on a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or LMIA exemption at the time of assessment, your application will be declined. Please see the FAQ section for further information.

Yea..they sneak in little update on friday...it used to say application may be delayed or may be declined...but now flat out denied...wonder that was the whole plan to reduce amount of application since lots ppl's WP are expiring and now its is almost impossible to get new LMO..so lots ppl wont be able to get nomination.,.how cruel after spending so much time n energy n money u end up getting nothing..

yah my work mate got refusal letter from AINP.HIs work permit expired already on August 2014. he does not have yet new work permit. employer apply lmo ,also got refuse. He applied as AWE

did ur buddy got refusal just for not having valid WP or anything else too??
