Question about Renewing Passport after sending full docs to CHC ?!?!

Hi,
I have already sent my full docs to CHC. But I expect by the time I receive the Passport Request my existing PP may be expired or very close to expiry.

Can I renew my PP and send them the new one when I receive the Passport Request?
Anybody with similar experience?
Please advise.

Hi,

I sent my completed application to Buffalo sometime last year, July. when I submitted my application, I wrote a cover letter letter stating that the photocopy of the passport I submitted will be renewed soon and mentioned in the letter that I will send them new copy of passport as soon as i received it.

after a month, i sent them the new one. I hope they did receive it as my usps tracking say so.
