Can someone confirm on the below? I am preparing document to apply for OCI from Toronto and my Indian passport is already cancelled.
I am preparing a fresh OCI application (Type A – former Indian citizen, now Canadian, Toronto jurisdiction). Regarding the Voter ID / Ration Card declaration: I previously held an Indian Voter ID, which I have already cancelled online (name deleted from the electoral roll). I do not hold a ration card in India and my name is not on any ration card in India.
Could you please confirm whether the signed OCI Voter ID/Ration Card declaration is sufficient in my case, or whether I need to submit any supporting proof of the Voter ID cancellation at the time of BLS submission? Thank you.
