Hi APPNOV2014NY,
I had an additional question. If my last PCC for USA has validity until 05-Aug-2017 and if i applying for Federal PR in 2 weeks(lets say 05- July-2017), do you think if there is any possibility that i may be asked to get one again?. This is because i heard most of the PCCs are valid for 1 year.
I never traveled to USA since I received the PCC or since last i last left USA in December 2013. Do you know if the one-year validity will end when they receive the application or when they issue a AOR....
Thanks
You should be fine if you did not visit USA after the date on which FBI-PCC was generated.
Here is my high level understanding:
a) If Canada is your current country of residence then no PCC required. CIC has direct access to RCMP database and they will ask for RCMP Clearance only in few rare cases where they are unable to match applicant record or if multiple records are returned and one of those multiple records has some questionable entry.
b) Current country of residence ( except Canada) - PCC should be generated within last 6 months of date of delivery of PCC to CIC.
c) Past visited Countries - PCC should be generated after last visit.
