Hello Guys

My application was received by IRCC Nova Scotia office on Dec 2020 and i got an XEP number in Jan first week

Since i did not send my PCC with the application what is your recommendation on when to send these?

1. Should i apply for PCC now (India and US) and send it to IRCC as an additional package

Or

2. Should i wait for IRCC request for PCC and then apply for the same

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thank you
When I sent my application in Dec 2018 I didn't sent PCC. In March 2019 I got AOR and PR application number and once I linked my PR application to my online account I sent the PCC ( as softcopy) online via webform using my PR application number. The PCC where added to my application and all went well.

If you are not planning to stay in countries for which you are going to apply for PCC more then 6 months then you can apply it now and keep it ready.

Once you receive PCC then you can call agent and ask if you can

1. Sent PCC via webform using XEP number
or
2. Have to wait for AOR and then sent PCC via webform using PR application number
or
3. Can mail them as additional package ( which I am not sure of so need to check with agent ).

but sent it without waiting to get request from them else it might delay your process.

I noticed today that my status bar disappeared from my application , has anyone noticed this? Not that I found it really useful since it was at 100% as of May 13, 2020. Just wondering whether it’s a glitch or if IRCC has removed it?
Yep. It's gone for me as well. I think they got rid of all the UI elements that were getting people worried and making them want to submit a web form. They also removed the text that said, "if your application has not been processed within the estimated processing time you can send a web form".

Finally got COPR today! Here's my timeline:

Application: Nov 2018
AOR: Jan 2019
Medical Request: Oct 2020
Medical Approved: Nov 2020
DM: Nov 2020
COPR Jan 2021

Inland applicant
Sydney office
Cool! Congratulations, yo!

My timeline is similar, but still no DM. I read that security check takes more time if you're married to a foreign citizen or if you've been to countries affected by narcotrafficking. In my case, both are applicable ‍♂.

Application received: Nov 2018
AOR: Feb 2019
PCC request: Feb 2020
MR: Nov 2020
Medicals passed: Nov 2020

No news after that. GCMS notes suggest that security check has not been started, however when I had called them in Dec 2020, the person said that my security check was in progress. Awaiting CBSA notes and CSIS notes.

I'm really tired of waiting so I found a site which explains in details the hole screening process. It's CBSA which conducts the hole screening process with the assistance of CSIS. If you are interesting: https://www.getgcms.com/blog/what-is-security-screening-comprehensive-guide/#3-how-is-security-screening-done

I'm stuck in security check and IRCC keeps telling me that they are waiting for clearance on security. They told me that it's probably CSIS causing the delay. I requested GCMS from CSIS and turns out that a long, long time ago they gave recommendation to CBSA, it took them 1.5 months to send the response. The other link on the chain is CBSA, so probably they are going to tell me that I have to wait because they are waiting for someone else :) It's a vicious cycle with no exit, just because someone decided to red flag my file. Long story short: I'm waiting...
Ive been thru it and found out some interesting information. Thank you for sharing... I am sure ur file is alright and its not under any in depth screening or something. Hope ull hear some gd news soon

Any other comment from our specialists here for the above theory?
It sounds interesting...
Maybe we could take out 500 files from those 3000 as they all are stuck at completion check.

Say, we would left with only 2500(after june19) good files ready to process further for COPRs then.:)

Say, very sad story for those 500 files then.:(

As advised by a lawyer to my friend that the number of files without an AOR after mid July 2019 are 30 k+ and probably all of them would get an AOR by mid this year, then there's inventory of pre July 2019 which federal would try to dispose in next few months. He says finalization of 30k+ files may extend beyond 2022. However in-between there maybe some random picks just to assuage the anxiety of masses. A few copr would raise hopes of masses at large just like XEP has done for the moment. A duration of 3-4 years from submission to finalization shouldn't be surprising.

Ok! I thought 30k files are pending files that were receieved before July 2019. And as the number of CSQs since then are only 3000 ( counting only QSWP ) i guessed 6 months should be good for processing as Quebec announced more immigration numbers in 2021 adding mossed 2020 quota this year.

I could be wrong but i think the HUGE reduction of CSQs issued will help BIG in processing times once the pending diles are cleared.

Does anybody know how many are the CSQs issued under PEQ category, since July 2019?

I don't have the official link to substantiate here but under peq program (students + workers) the numbers are between 1000-1200 a month. Then there are also CSQ issued under other programs.

I'm not a specialist but good to see here such theories from time to time to hold us onto this never-ending journey. Here's my two cents on this if they wanna process the QSW applications then it shouldn't take longer once they receive the complete application since if they can process express entry applications within few months why not QSW applications. Actually they process them in around the same time like express entry once they start processing the applications. It is the time we should count on where our applications are sitting in unopened files/boxes untouched, who knows. This simply means that either they don't value the already integrated and skilled folks here in Quebec Canada, otherwise they would have prioritized them or it's a political dilemma. But we couldn't blame anyone since the choice was ours and now we have to be patient. Good luck, everyone.

Processing time should be similar in all provinces including Quebec which is 6 months or less. I believe It is just the quota system/incomplete files/complicated applications that delay the whole process. Which is why i think the reduction in CSQs last year and 2021 quota increase will speed up the process. When? Is the question and i think it will be once the pending files until june 2019 clears.
