Thank you @alemom, yours will be coming soon I am sure!

you mean ECAS? from January 5 since I saw the legendary DM, it has not been updated.
and for GC-key/MyCIC account, I saw updates (file "closed" and application "approved") on January 20 at 10:30pm(!), and it has remained as such.

I called CIC on Saturday. They said it cannot be determined around what time it will be delivered, as it depends on the district and volume of mails to be handled. But normally, it has arrived in Montreal on Saturday, it would be delivered on Monday. I believe yours is on the way.
Congratulations!!! Smearingo

Thank you very much for the answer. I hope that they wont ask us for a new medical as you said.

I find two articles at cic,

First one says that: Validity period of a medical certificateStarting Date for Calculating the 12 Month Validity Period of a Medical Certificate: the last medical assessment on file is the starting date for the 12 month validity of a medical certificate.

The second is: How long will my application take if I need a medical exam?
After a medical examination by a Panel Physician, the results are sent for review to the CIC medical office which serves your region. The CIC medical office will assess the results and send their assessment to the visa office which is processing your application.
Processing times can vary but generally: For permanent resident applications, it normally takes three months after our medical office receives the medical examination results from the Panel Physician before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application. This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents).

is that mean that the medical exams could be valid 15 months after the visit (3 months takes assessment + 12 months expiry after assessment)?

I would be glad to know your opinion on this.
It seems the date of assessment is a bit ambiguous in the phrasing of these articles. But your interpretation makes logical sense and can explain why a lot of people who received CoPR after 12 months of their application were not requested for another medical exam. It has been 13+ months previously, and I have heard no one mention the encounter of a request for a new medical exam (some of them also provided medical upfront). Based on this, I would say you are probably fine ;)

I would say at least 4-5 months after medical. The current processing time for QSW provided on CIC website is 13 months, calculated from the time the application is received (but i think it will go down a bit this year).

Hello,
A question for those who received their XpressPost envelope with their documents.
Was it delivered by a CanadaPost truck-guy?
Did you have to sign for ii?
Because the mailman already passed but left an envelope... but no XpressPost, and looking on the web I found that the XpressPost are delivered by truck.
Can you confirm this, please?
Thank you in advance.

I was looking out at my street from my window until I received the envelope this morning.... and I saw the postwoman drop letters in mailbox including my Xpresspost envelope around 1pm.... I could not see their delivery truck.... she did not ask for signature (as i did not purchase the signature request for the return envelope)

Thanks @Smearingo,
so that's "no good news" for us.
I was expecting that there was a chance for it arriving today, with another mailman.

As of timeframe, I would think it depends on case and amount of work they have, since there are 4-5 ppl on the forum who have sent the envelopes on the exact same day but some have had it already processed.
It's waiting time :)

Good luck (to all of us)

WOOOWHOOOOO!!! Congratulations Smearingo!!!
@marcomcarneiro, thank you!
you are absolutely right, that PO Box (#9780) has huge volumes of mails (including our PPs or copies of PPs) these days. I almost lost my patience last week when I was so upset by the fact that mine was not coming while others sending it later than I did already got it.
This waiting time for me has been very difficult. I am glad it's over now. I am sure yours will be coming very soon, the same to you, too @alemom. I believe yours is actually on the way. I will keep both of you in my prayer. You will be landing soon too, for certain!

another thing worth noting is that the issued date of my CoPR is indeed January 16 2017. But last Thursday (January 19) when I called them, the rude and robotic "lady" said she could find no information concerning whether they received my package in response to PPR. So, I believe that they actually received mine on January 9 (when it was "out for delivery") and started looking at my package between January 9 and January 16. My CoPR was then issued on the latter day. Subsequently, on January 19 my GC-key/MyCIC account was updated and they sent it away, hence envelope activated on January 20.

What so mysterious is January 16 -- they already issued it but did not proceed to send it back to me! and that "lady" either could not disclose this information or really could not locate such record due to bureaucratic error.... hmm..... but now I have got the CoPR, I am no longer angry at them....

I am more concerned about the incorrect "last entry date" and "orig. entry date" on the COPR (as I mentioned a couple of responses ago). But other members shared in other threads that this is not a big deal. We can point this out to the border officers. More often than not, they will have no idea how to fix it. But if it is another minor mistake such as height or eye colour, they seem to know how to fix it and would do so.... let's see what happen tomorrow!

And I also just managed to reach CIC call centre on this, the agent (surprisingly a male voice as I had never reached a male-voice agent before) said it's not mandatory to fix it--it is indeed "very minor" he casually commented, but he mentioned something about calculation of pensions which might be affected. The only official way to fix it that he knows is to request for amendments, which will take as long as 6 months to process. urgent processing can be requested if necessary. (but again, both of us could not think of any reason that would justify urgent processing---it seems it's really not a big deal at all)....

Thank you everyone.

I just came back from the border ;D
I was so lucky, only me doing the landing process. I only waited 20 mins. Plus go and back time. Totally 2 hours and half.

Finally I can relax now.
