one small issue though: I think @Vinc360 has raised this before. The information on "last entry date" and "original entry date" is not correct.... it shows strangely the same date (May 17 in 2014) when I returned from a US trip.
But of course subsequently I left and returned.
I also first arrived in Canada for my study earlier than that date....

I am now researching on this topic in the forum. It seems one way to fix it is to land by making an appointment with CIC (as the border officers cannot fix it and issue a new CoPR to us...)

But it has also been suggested that it does not matter....
forum member MapleLeafCIC in the following thread actually commented that " I pointed out the mistake in the copr to the officer and he said yeah that date doesn't mean anything. And tbh I believe him. CIC wouldn't make the exact same mistake in so many COPRs. Seems like they just pick a random date."
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/landed-at-niagara-border-with-incorrect-original-date-of-entrylanding-exp-t273096.30.html

I would not want to wait for an appointment. I think I would go down to the border and pointed out this mistake to them too.
any idea or suggestion?
Those who have got CoPR, have you observed such issue on yours?

The CoPR comes with two copies--one with the newly provided photo attached, the other without.
Do not sign any of them until told to so do by a Canadian border services officer or immigration offer.

there is an expiry date: mine is the same as one year after the medical exam results were sent (I heard that it can be the expiry date of your passport, whichever is earlier -- but passport has to be valid for at least 6 months when you land).

no clear instructions concerning what items to carry during landing. But it says that
"If you plan to settle in the province of Quebec, you must be in possession of a Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ) that was valid on the date the Permanent Resident Visa was issued." (my CSQ is still valid, but guess what? I am from visa-exempt country, there is no PR visa for me indeed--I only enclosed photocopy of passport)

@alemom I wanna share this with you concerning medical information, but you will see it in your CoPR return package soon:
"New immigrants may not be eligible for public health for up to three months after arrival." (i think this refers to the 3-month processing time in RMAQ).

Tomorrow is the big day! My trip will involves a tour in Ben & Jerry's Factory, a half-day ski trip in Mad River Glen, and a visit to Burlington VT, and then LANDING in Lacolle. I will depart with my PGWP and come back as a PR!!!

and now I looked at the envelope: first, for those who are waiting for PPR or are on the way of getting it later, you can actually purchase the standard (small) Xpresspost envelope for this matter. It works just fine.
And CIC's instruction asks us not to fill in our address on the envelope. I think it doesn't matter: there will be stickers for sender's (CIC) and receiver's (our) address affixed to the envelope.

I think I will scan the CoPR before I land. but the CoPR is not standard US-letter or A4 size. It's strangely long (am worrying now about the trouble for any future need to scan it after it's validated).
WOOOWHOOOOO!!! Congratulations Smearingo!!!

congrats man again. did you check you ecic? any updates on statues of DM?
you mean ECAS? from January 5 since I saw the legendary DM, it has not been updated.
and for GC-key/MyCIC account, I saw updates (file "closed" and application "approved") on January 20 at 10:30pm(!), and it has remained as such.

Ok, I guess mine will not come today.
I called CanadaPost on Saturday. They said it cannot be determined around what time it will be delivered, as it depends on the district and volume of mails to be handled. But normally, it has arrived in Montreal on Saturday, it would be delivered on Monday. I believe yours is on the way.

Hi @Smearingo,

Application: QSW | Inland | Sydney
Applied on: Feb 23 2016
AOR on: April 4 2016
Medical: Upfront
Fees: Upfront
PPR: Waiting ... (no contact since last April)

I am expecting an answer between now and March 2017 according to the current processing time. I have done my medical exam in advance in Feb 2016 - just couple days before submitting my application. It shows 'passed' in the application window, but I would like to know if Visa Office may require me to repeat the medical if they wont finalize my application before the expiry of my medical result as each medical is valid for 12 months. Or is there any case that they issue visa beyond the expiry of medical and people land ... ?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi @Mtl12, I have thought of sending Medical upfront. But I ended up not doing so.
I am sorry I do not have a definite answer to your question. But I have heard that for in-land applicant, they usually would not ask for Medical again for those who provided it upfront, even the processing of the application took up to 12+months. I believe you will be fine.
I actually am not sure if my expiry date is directly related to the medical result date, but it is the only item I can think of. I also heard that this date can be either 1 year after medical results or expiry date of passport -- but I dunno how they determine the date for those whose medical is done upfront ( and may be reaching the expiry at the arrival of CoPR).

Thank you very much for the answer. I hope that they wont ask us for a new medical as you said.

I find two articles at cic,

First one says that: Validity period of a medical certificateStarting Date for Calculating the 12 Month Validity Period of a Medical Certificate: the last medical assessment on file is the starting date for the 12 month validity of a medical certificate.

The second is: How long will my application take if I need a medical exam?
After a medical examination by a Panel Physician, the results are sent for review to the CIC medical office which serves your region. The CIC medical office will assess the results and send their assessment to the visa office which is processing your application.
Processing times can vary but generally: For permanent resident applications, it normally takes three months after our medical office receives the medical examination results from the Panel Physician before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application. This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents).

is that mean that the medical exams could be valid 15 months after the visit (3 months takes assessment + 12 months expiry after assessment)?

I would be glad to know your opinion on this.
