Based on what I've seen on this forum, it could be anywhere between 1.5 and 6+ months. It's a bit of a lottery, but it seems that CPP-Ottawa is processing fairly fast right now, so if I had to take a guess, I'd say you'll probably get PPR sometime in February, perhaps March.

Incidentally, both Dior and QC have timelines almost identical to mine (application received at CIO-Sydney in July and AOR/Medicals request sent in September), and both have had their eCAS change to "in process" around December. My eCAS still shows Medicals Received only, so either I'm really unlucky, or this is one of those cases where eCAS lags behind and doesn't actually show the most up-to-date info. I really hope it's the latter.

Well there are two possible senarios:

1- Sydney is your primary office: In process comes 5-6 months after receving application since they do the checks and send file to cpp ottawa for final review, ppr takes 2-6 months ore maybe more

2- ottawa is your primary office, in process comes one year (or more later), but ppr comes fast (few days to a month ore obviously more)

I think i am in case number 2, if you don't get in process by end of march then cpp ottawa is your primary office

I'm quite certain I'm CPP-Ottawa actually. I've recently had to move back temporarily to my home country, so I shot them an e-mail asking if my application could still be processed in Ottawa or if it would have to be transferred to the Canadian consulate in my home country, to which they replied my application was already in Ottawa and would be processed there.

I think these timelines you just gave are sort of a worst case scenario, given that there are people here who have gotten PPR just five months after AOR (Eurmione for one), and Dior and QC's timelines both seem to be in line with that. Granted, I see from your profile that you got your AOR in April and have been waiting ever since, so I understand where you're coming from. I know there are many factors which can influence how fast processing is done for each application, but it still sucks that it's such a huge lottery.

Have you tried e-mailing them? I've read some people state on this forum (not in this discussion, but in other threads) that their application was taking forever, so they e-mailed Ottawa and within two days they saw change in their eCAS (as though their application was almost done but was forgotten at the end). I wouldn't ask them specifically why it's taking so long (I don't think they answer that kind of question unless the 20 months posted under the CIC website have passed), but maybe you could ask if they've received your RPRF, or if they need any other documents from you, that sort of thing. Just something subtle. The key is that that will force one of their staff to look into your application, and then who knows.

you don't need the request, you can just pay for it online, print out receipt and send it to them via mail. I believe you can even email them the receipt.

I think it would be better for him to wait for the request, this way he gets a better idea on his application processing

it has been couple weeks since the COPR wave (after one 7-8 months with no updates), hope we won't go into another long waiting before starting getting it ...

A bit of a random question, but does anyone around here know whether there's a difference in processing times (at the federal level, that is) for PEQ-Graduate and PEQ-Work permit applicants? Theoretically, how one got his/her CSQ should make no difference for the federal level, but based on timelines I've seen around this website, it seems that we PEQ folks (generally) get our PR applications processed faster than those who got their CSQs through the regular skilled worker program. It just made me wonder if perhaps there's also a difference between the two classes of PEQ.
