Thank you ExpressEnterprise.

To be honest, I don't really know which VO that is. My consultant sent me a letter in French with MIDI logo and these numbers: numero de reference individual and numero de dossier.

Letter's subject is "ouverture de votre dossier"

How long did it take you to get the file number?
You are welcome Songsort!

You only got file number for Quebec CSQ. This would mean that you haven't applied at Federal yet. I don't remember how long it took (because it was almost like 8 years ago), but it took me almost 8 months for my documents from Quebec's part to get ready for me to apply to Federal. However, nowadays, they have made changes to the procedure and now many checks are being made at Quebec's end (before you apply to Federal.)

You are right, my consultant clarified it to me that the file number is for CSQ and the next step would be an interview in approx 9 months.

Yes. Most of the countries in Gulf forward their Quebec Investor cases to Abu Dhabi VO for processing. Their processing time is 51 months.

If you also look at Abu Dhabi's Quebec Investor cases from 1st October 2013 to 30th September 2014, its approval rate is 92% (44 cases were approved and 4 cases were rejected)

For More Indepth analysis, I'll refer you to my older post -> Abu Dhabi Visa Office Statistics

Thanks again, XpressEnterprise.

Abu Dhabi seems to be the VO with longest processing time of 51 months! More than three times of New Delhi office.

I am in no rush but it's really is a very very long time. I would be retired by the time i got my visa. Is it the good place to enjoy retirement?

Do we have a choice when it comes to the VO? Is it possible to make a request to have my application processed at a certain office, based on my nationality (as it is different from where my application is submitted - the Gulf countries)

Since you are Vietnamese national, if you apply in Vietnam, your file will be processed in Singapore VO. Their processing time is 26 months (almost half of Abu Dhabi)

Thanks again XpressEnterprise. You must be an expert by now.

My consultant told me to wait for Quebec interview then decide where to submit our Federal application. In addition, my consultant said after CSQ, there are only medicals and other federal govt. formalities to do.

Hey XpressEnterprise and others

I have a very complicated situation
would realy appreciate your feedback,

i started my quebec investor application for my whole family in 2009
They received my application on on august 5th 2010
Started processing my application on september 14th 2010
Medicals have been received (this is what it says when i check my application online)

So recently in december 2014 i got a request from immigration to send them another medical with the police checks.
This is the second time they have asked for the following.

So i submitted all documents on december 15th 2014.
With the request for medicals and police checks i also got my new updated and renewed CSQ from quebec for my whole family which is valid for one year.

It has already been 4 months since i have submitted the documents and i still havnt got any reply. What is the usual wait time till i get a passport request, or they will make me do another medical after it expires. This is really very stupid. I filed for immigration in 2009 and it is 2015.
My origin is from pakistan and my Vo is Abu Dhabi.

i have paid them $120000, but never expected this to be such a long process.
Iam very frustrated and tired
The future of my kids and my family in on hold because of this
What should i do, i have given them everything that they have asked for.

PLease give me a feedback
I really need help

Hi!

Have you tried following mediums?

A) Email : abu-dhabi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

B) Case Specific Enquiry - Abu Dhabi

Choose option B and inquire about your case's current status. Keep messaging them and eventually they will reply. Mind you, but Abu Dhabi have the longest waiting period of all (51 months). In your case, 56 months have passed, so you should get a reply from them. Key is to be patient and never get tired of waiting. I chose this program when my children were in school... and I finally reached Montreal on 12th April 2015 and my children already got masters degrees.

I gave medicals 3 times (and dont even remember about Police Clearance Certificates) and even before I applied for Quebec's programme, I was refused on Self-Employed (Federal) basis.

You will get the general idea only when you see your GCMS notes. Read some of my posts and you will find out how I went about it. I would suggest that you keep your children enrolled in schools or universities and make sure there are no gaps of 3 months or more.

My consultant said they have submitted by application to a financial broker for review / analysis and they eventually submitted my application to Quebec on 20 Mar 2015.

It's my first step on a long journey.
Today marks the 54th day since my application is submitted. I was hoping to get the file number but it's proven that I am too optimistic.

Update: my consultant confirmed that my file number for CSQ was actually given in the letter issued 11 days after submission of application.

So my next step is to wait for the interview.

Patience is very important. In the meantime, if you want to make exploratory visits, you can always apply for visit visa and check this place out.

Thank you XpressEnterprise.

Initially I thought I am in no hurry, but I started feeling tiring even though my money is still with me. I do need more patient.

After making the significant investment, many would feel very very very uneasy, I guess. I can understand how tiredofwaitingsoomuch sounds so desperate. Is it my future?
