[Hi senior members,
My wife has 14 months of experience (July 2007 to September 2008). I was not writing his experience as it is having no points. That's good, to claim point for your AOT then never mind u r principal applicant or not, your degree must not be older then 5 year old or u have atleast 1 year experience in your education field.
I think to work for atleast one out of 5 years is valid only for principal applicant. Please help on my total number of points.

Thanks
Abhishek Sharma

hi ambi,
He will not get points for french A1 or A2, since he has not scored 16 out of 25 in listening or speaking as per new rules.

Also u given 3+3 points for his spouse education, but he mentiioned that his spouse is having no work experience, so pls check this points again.
I have a doubt here that he is not reaching to 57 points.

Its better if you send the original.

But if you don't want to send the original then send your application with the attested photocopy and when you get your AOR/File Number then you can request British council to send the official report directly and provide your file reference number.

Hello everyone!!

Firstly, thank you very much for your replies to my earlier questions. I really appreciate that!

I have another one related to "stay in Quebec" score. I'm wondering what does it mean by "one regular full-time semester", because in the French document, it's said "une session régulière à temps plain". So how long is it defined? For example, I want to take the French course at Mcgill during winter. The session will be from January 16 to February 24 and will be full-time. Does that make "one regular full-time semester"? Or if I combine that session with another one before it from October 29 to December 7, will that suffice?

Also, I know that if we work in Quebec for more than 3 months, that will give us 5 points as well. I'm wondering though, does it have to be paid? Does volunteer count?

Lastly, do you guys know any organisation or sort of company that will provide the temporary/vacant work in Quebec for foreigners?

Thank you so much!!!!!

Is it against the law to leave Quebec after receiving permanent residence through their program but before receiving Canadian citizenship. If yes, what about ''Freedom of movement act''? Is it only applicable for citizens or for both, the citizens and permanent residents?

1st >> Its not against law. But you will have to sign a kind of an agreement/form in which you will agree to show your intention to permanently reside in any part of the Quebec.
(And If you don't sign the agreement/form then you are not eligible for the QSW program)

2nd >> If you do want to move to some other state, It can be done, but you will have to show that you tried everything to settle in Quebec. And you must be able to support if when asked.

AND

3nd >> If you do move to some other state, then it will effect you Citizenship.

4th >> Why you are trying for the Quebec if you don't have any intention to settle. why don't you try some other program ?

Hi abhisri200k,

thanks for your quick response. My friend is asking this so that is why I have posted this question, since I am not familiar with Quebec rules that much. When it comes to me, I am planning to go to Alberta in June through IEC program. :) I don't speak a word of French.

Are you already in the process for Quebec?
