Sent my application september 16 2010

I am applying as a quebec skilled worker from buffalo USA

Anybody knows how many more months I got until I get my PR??
congrats. getting medical request is a milestone. Usually,, PR visa will be issued on/after 60days after they must have gotten ur medical result from the DMP. so the onus is one you to ensure u go for ur medicals ASAP. cos ur case seems 2b behind schedule (indicating that the VO has several application to handle). Cos as a Quebec selectee, ur case ought to b finalized in 6months meaning u ought to av gotten it by now. so pls ensure u go for the medical soonest. best of luck

Could you please tell me more about your experience with the interview, the questions you had, the level of french that you feel is necessary to pass it, I know you know French very well but if you didnt, do you think you would be able to switch to English at some point if it was necessary, anything you can think of. I really appreciate your response.

Hey guys :)
I am a newbie here, but have been thinking a lot about migrating to Canada, Quebec particularly. Right now I am applying for a study permit to study at a canadian college (not in Quebec) but in case I dont get a permit I want to apply for Quebec immigration in 8-10 months (when I get more work experience and enough points with it hopefully + get better in french). The question is, will my application for a study permit not in Quebec but for a college, say, in British Columbia, somehow affect my chances of immigrating to Quebec later (if I don't get a visa now, I mean) ? Will the officers think " Hmmm she wanted to go to British Columbia! No Quebec then! " or am I worrying too much? :) Can anyone of experienced forum people here help?

HELLO

IT DOESNT EFFECT IF YOU first APPLY STUDENT PERMIT AND AFTER some time you apply IMMIGRATION BECAUSE BOOTH HAVE DIFFERENT CRETERIA and procedures for selections. yes it effect, if you apply immigration first and then student visa then chances are very high for rejection of student permit(because they assume that you are planning not to go back to your home country after your study permit) your intention is to stay there, study visa they issued because you said that after completing your course iyou will go back to your home country to utilize your education which you gained from canada.

goodluck for student permit

Thanks a lot, Stillhope!!! :)
I asked because they say that for quebec it's very important that you want to work and stay in their province, not anywhere else in Canada, so I was wondering if my first application for British Columbia may make them think I don't want to live in Quebec.

@ wings

Don't worry to much, everything is going to be ok. Learn all your work experiences, school, university all your life. Try to learn about your country, why are immigrating and leaving your country (give reasons). what do you expect to find in Canada. Your plans and your first steps in Quebec (Montreal). Learn about the costs of living in Quebec. How are you prepared to pas the first months if you don't find a job.
Be careful, don't say if you don't find a job you will go to the immigration offices and register for an social assistance. Learn about Canada, population and for what is well known. Why Quebec, which are the values of Quebec and differences with other provinces, like cost of living, the rent is low, criminality is low, is a province that have a living style European and American ect...

In the end you will see that these are the question important during an interview for immigration, Other questions are in general.

Take care ;)
