I can understand it better but we have no other option than waiting. God has decided something better for us.

Hi Guys,

My sister plans to apply for Quebec Skilled Immigration in April 2015.

I have a few questions on her behalf.

1. Does she need a WES educational qualification assessment ? (I didnt find any mention of it on cic website)

2. She is learning french. Can she attach her beginner's (a1) french language score along with her application, and then update it as and when she clears higher levels of french (b1, b2, etc.)?

Thanks

2. She is learning french. Can she attach her beginner's (a1) french language score along with her application, and then update it as and when she clears higher levels of french (b1, b2, etc.)? No. anything below B2 won't be taken in consideration. Worst yet, if on the application she checks where it says she adds french diploma and sends something other than B2, her application would likely be returned and might find herself without an spot on the 6500

Thanks

YES SHE CAN SEND HER A1 LEVEL CERTIFICATE. AND SHE MUST INCLUDE PHOTOCOPIES RECEIPTS SHOWING THAT SHE HAS REGISTERED TO IMPROVE HER FRENCH. IF POSSIBLE LET HER INCLUDE A NOTE ON AN EXTRA SHEET EXPLAINING HER AMBITION TO IMPROVE HER FRENCH LEVEL TO B2. LET HER TICK THE BOX ON THE APPLICATION THAT SHE IS SENDING FRENCH RESULTS. MOST IMPORTANTLY LET HER KEEP LEARNING FRENCH.GOODLUCK

Thanks

My application received by Quebec Immigration on 10/6/2014. After many follow up calls to customer care, I understand that my bank draft was encashed on 26/8/2014 and my application is under process and soon I will receive file number. Until now I didn't receive AOR? anyone has similar case?

The government of Quebec this week outlined its immigration goals for the upcoming year, with no major changes in overall immigration figures from recent years being announced. The provincial Minister of Immigration, Kathleen Weil, stated that the government’s objective is to maintain a modern and efficient system to attract newcomers who contribute to Quebec’s economic, social and cultural life.
Noting that this marks the final stage of an immigration plan set out for the period 2012–2015, Ms Weil said that existing policies that emphasise knowledge of French and prioritise skilled candidates under the age of 35 will remain in place.

Is this Symptomes of QSW continuation?

I think you are in selection review and now it won't take much time as you got good response within few days after updating documents. I know 4-5 people to whom they sent an e mail that documents they have updated are not satisfactory. As per my idea you will get CSQ soon
Thanks buddy for your reply

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I have one question, to apply under Quebec program is it necessary to know the french language?

Hello

I applied for csq on 24th july 2013, and got a file number after a few months.
but from this time on, I haven't receive any notice or processing situation at all.
so I asked quebec immigration contact center several times with the fear of waiting unpredictable period that whether or not my file
has been going on progress. but they said same answer repetedly which i think every one in this forum had been heard of- just wait

in this situation what am i to do? my job category falls into c group. Should I study abroad to quebec to expect a fast processing time?
or is it possible if I were to go to quebec and legally reside with a student visa as a language student then would I be processed fast within 12 months?

and I also noticed that the processing time of quebec residents are the same as france residents, then would it be possible to go to france to study master degree, which means that I assume to be considered france resident while I'm benefitting from fast processing?

Yes.

Some people may disagree but it is to your advantage if you speak French. A very small minority get to move to Quebec without knowing French at all and that is the exception rather than the rule. For example, if you are hired by McGill as a faculty or one of those rare jobs where you work on your own. In both cases, these people are in Quebec and are already working in Quebec.

If you are residing outside of Canada and thinking of settling in Quebec. Then you need French otherwise, there's no reason to select your profile for immigration. You don't hold a job, you don't have a business in Quebec, you know no one in Quebec, what makes you more attractive than someone like you but who speaks French?

You also understand that while the online assessment may provide a positive opinion on your profile, there's nothing to stop Quebec to demand that you show so French certification. What do you do then when they ask? Start to learn French by then?
