Dear Friends,

This is clear now on their website that if anyone do not receive his interview letter or any document before 1 August 2013 he will be under new rules link is given below for further clarification.

This is totally disappointing.

I am new to this forum. I am pursuing my application for QSW. I found that I am falling short of just 2 points (55 on 57). I have hopes on two factors to get additional points:
• My Spouse's AOT is dated April 2008. Will I get 2 points (it falls in this category) for this? It is little over 5 years now.
• Learning French: I don't have any knowledge of French and want to learn this language. But it seems to be uphill task with B2 being made as minimum requirement and have very less time. I welcome suggestions from the users of this forum on this.
Thank You

* Is your wife working or has she been working in the field of her AOT, especially in past 5 years?
* Can you claim points somewhere else, e.g. English, Stay in Quebec ... ?

So you have to think about how you can boost your points. Your spouse can start working in the field of her AOT and stay working for at least a year. You can have another child. You can gain a point for 2 week stay in Quebec.
I hope that helps. :)

Once you receive your AOR you can update your application with anything. There's a form for that and people do that.

Hello, I'm new participant in this forum
would you please help me in my inquiry ? :)

I need your help to calculate my points for immigration to Quebec
I sent my file on 10 December 2011. and according to the new law of 1st of august 2013, i would like to review again my chances.
i have passed the Dalf C1 with total score 50 of 100, i was really very lucky to pass it.
my points are:
speaking: 16
listening : 12
reading : 11
writing : 11

I have done Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (4 years, foreign degree) and employed with an aerospace company for the last 2 years. What will be my AOT points? Is it 12 points (Aerospace, section B) or 6 points (Mechanical Engg, section C)?

I would try to claim points for Aerospace. Then you have to convince them, add some supporting documents for example. It just may work.
It's the same with your French, you can let them know (e.g. cover letter of your app) you started learning French...
Good luck!

hello guys,

just wanted to share you that i got an email stating that i am on the waiting list for interview, in addition to a PDF file that i have to sign and send back, that i know well that obtaining CSQ does not guarantee that i find a job in my regulated field ( Engineering ).

i got file number in November 26th 2012.

hope this help you guys ..

and i would to ask you if you know the expected time before they contact me back to decided place and time of interview, and if i should bring my one year old daughter with me.

thank you

what kind of supporting document would make my case stronger? A letter from my employer stating I work for aerospace sector with main duties that I perform is sufficient?
