If you are federal skilled worker, you are supposed to settle outside Quebec.
When you applied for your visa, did you sign a contract that you commit to reside outside Quebec?

Thank you dear Ketevan for your prompt reply. In fact, I got my PRC as a skilled worker in Toronto, being the main applicant and along with ALL my family members. As I said earlier, we did our landing in Toronto and had to leave for a while. This was last February. Now we have changed our mind to settle in Montreal or anywhere in Quebec. By the way, most of us speak French. So do you think it's possible for us to be residents of Montreal?
Thanking you (and ALL the Seniors here) once again.
Regards,

what is the probability of having problems if one applies for Quebec and settles outside of Quebec after having the PR? Do you think the immigration office will keep an eye on us and trace where we are living (which they can through our SIN card)? I was thinking to move to another province if I have better opportunity there... but wondering if this move can have any impact on my PR (if I receive it of course)

Federal skilled workers should settle outside Quebec. This is written on CIC website.
"People can apply to immigrate to Canada under "Federal skilled worker" category. Skilled workers apply under this category if they want to live in any Canadian province or territory except Quebec.
"

If some lucky people manage to move and stay unnotticed, it is their private affair.

Nobody will prevent you from moving, but when you apply for extension of PR or passport they may raise questions as to why you moved, specifically because we signed a commitment to live in Quebec. You have to have a strong case and prove that you did not use Quebec as point of entry.

I am also getting tired of Quebec's non recognition of my british education and I believe that english speaking provinces place a higher value on UK diplomas, but I sit quiet. I spent too much time and money to get here.

That's bad... :( I also did my degree from UK and have been working in companies where I speak/and write in English. I am also fluent in French but still would prefer working for a company where they use English as the main language... be it in Quebec.

No, it is BA in social and economic development of asian and aftican countries. It was from russia. Then I got MSc and PhD from UK in economics. But all of that has 0 value here. I taught three years at British university but here I cannot even get a job at community college despite fluent french. I suggest to everybody to think well before quitting their jobs and coming here :D
P.s. Music is my college diploma

don't worry dear.. am sure you will soon get a good job. it takes time to get settled... patience and perseverance is the key before getting PR and couple of years after getting PR. Give yourself a little time more and all will work well.

Thanks Signalmaker for the response.
Wanted some precision: 1) Please help me precise the email you contacted them with(just to confirm)
2) What should I title the email, what language is preferrable to use and should i tell them directly that I need my dossier number?

Sorry for the worries, but just that I'm striving for perfection since it is my first ever time to email MICC.

Thanks in advance and waiting
i guess they have plenty of emails, have they ever sent you an email before ?

use french if you can, if it is not your language or know how to write use English,

and put in the head of it, the REFERENCE number.

please remind me with your case again so that i tell you what to write..
