Hi,

Could you please help me with evaluating my TCFQ results, which I just received (these are the scores and bands on the attestation):

Listening: score: 228 Niveau CECR* : A2
Speaking: score: 3/20 Niveau CECR* : A2

My confusion here is that this document www2.publicationsduquebec.gouv.qc.ca/dynamicSearch/telecharge.php?type=7&file=GPI-3-1.pdf on page 39 (dated october 2012) states A2 at TCFQ is 3 points for the principal applicant in both listening and speaking.

But these other links: myqcqc.com/attachments/20120511_ce2dda9321b1c2a84836eqfc0ChdKNeV.jpeg AND canadavisa.com/proving-french-language-ability-tcf.html , they state, that a score of 3 in speaking is only A1, and only 1 point for CSQ application.

Which one is right? This means a total score of 63 vs. 61 for me (with spouse), so basically could mean no interview vs. interview for me.

What do you think?

Thank you!

That's interesting. I think if your certificate/score card mentiones A2 explicitly then you should get points for A2 unless there is some immigration rule - like they have for DELF (must score more than 16/25 to claim full points for the section)

In my personal opinion --whatever is mentioned on the third link (canadavisa.com link) that is usually correct.

URGENT HELP PLEASE :-\

Hello guys,

My Quebec Skilled Worker application was received by BIQ Hongkong in 3rd September 2012. Till now I haven't received the Acknowledge of Receipt.

The enclosed bankdraft will expire on 9th January 2013. It means if BIQ won't cash it before 9 Jan or I won't cancel it before 1st Jan, the bankdraft will be useless and I will lose all the money ( 906 CND ).

BIQ replied that "In reply to your fax dated 2012.12.20 concerning the expiry date of your submitted cheque, please note that your file is still waiting for processing and il will take quite a time. Kindly be patient. If your cheque is expired at the moment we cash it, we will return it to you for renewal by the post. It's your choice to cancel the cheque now or to wait for the return of cheque later"

Please advise me what to do. Should I cancel the cheque now and buy a new one (which would cost me another $100), OR withdraw my Quebec application and apply for Federal in May 2013 ?

Thank you very much for your advice.

my IELTS score is:
L: 7 2 Point
R: 8
W: 7
S: 6 2 Point

If you have more than 7 band in speaking and 8 band in Listening you can get 6 point.

what will be the point for the CSQ for english?

thanks

plz someone tell me if i have 51 points wihout ielts and french then tell me my requirements in ielts or french
If you are applying as a Single then you need 47 point without adaptability and 53 with adaptability points. I strongly advise you to reach at 53 or more points for getting CSQ with ease.

Does that mean you have 51 point without IELTS and French?

My apologies and thanks for correcting me.
Yes you need 49/55. That was by mistake.
