Thank you bajan4quebec. If you don't mind me asking did you send any bank statement with your initial application ? Or did you just fill the contract for financial sufficiency ?

appreciate your response m81 but the line i quote from your reply
""Au moment de l'examen de la demande, le fonctionnaire à l'immigration s'assure de l'authenticité des résultats indiqués sur les attestations en utilisant les informations disponibles dans les sites sécurisés des fournisseurs (organismes émetteurs). Pour ce faire, il doit avoir préalablement obtenu l'autorisation de son gestionnaire pour accéder aux sites sécurisés de validation."

this is for the anglais section and not the francais section this clause means that for english there is online database with idp ielts and therefore they can log into that databse with permission from idp guys and confirm your ielts results on your trf with their database

Check Page 37 ! The paragraph can be found both for the english and the FRENCH section

but for french there is no online database all the record are with the local alliance francaise and with commision nationale that is why it is tedious for them to verify your results of french given by attestation with any permanent record with the organisation which issued you the exam certificate thats why they are more strict with delf/dalf results and therefore the clause for delf dalf i again quote

clearly states that only diplomas are accepted for delf/dalf the term releves de resultats means statement of results which is the case with attestations they are just statements and not official results the official is the diploma only in delf/dalf which is authentic and undisputable

the views can be different and even if you contact secretaries/phone attendents at the biq they will also have many opinions but ultimately it is the officer which decides and he decides in accordance with the rules in handbook strictly and not through opinions
therefore it might even be possible that one or two may get accepted with attestations but that will not be the case with everyone as there is lot of ambiguity here and everything seems dima and unclear
What is clear to me is that it talks about "relevés" then about "attestation", which are two different things. In any case, everybody can understand whatever they want. I would prefer to be positive about all this, and wait until I hear directly from them. I think this forum used to be more helpful, now there is too much speculation about this or that. I wish we could hear more about people who recently went through the process of sending their application, interview, etc...I think we could learn much more from them rather than people saying 'maybe this'...'maybe that'

After I passed DELF exam, I got that RELEVE thing and it is logical that could not be accepted as proof..but then I went to Alliance and they gave me ATTESTATION... My exam was in February and I will get my diploma in October... I really hope they are not so s... not to take attestation as proof...
You see, it seems that it is done differently depending on where the exam is taken. When I finished the DALF C1 exam, I didn't receive any RELEVE. I had to wait a month to receive my ATTESTATION DE REUSSITE and that's what I sent...

Proof of funds is required at the interview stage....

upon landing if you have more than $10,000 CAN you must indicate this to the back of arrival/immigration card and again to the customs/douane officer when you indicate to them you came to do your landing.

You do not have to take all $10,000 (or if more) as physical/liquid cash....you can have your money in the form of money orders, managers cheques, travellers cheques etc...or in other securities such as bonds, tresury notes etc.

Hope this helps

At the initial application you just need to sign the contract of self sufficiency, please be sure that you indicate the correct amount and sign the form in the correct place (not in caregiver section)...for me 1 applicant was $2,800 CAN for two (2) persons it was $4,300 and it increases with each additional family member.

Bank statements at least showing the last three (3) months transactions will be needed if you are called for an interview as the proof of your funds that you declared that you have when you signed the contract of self sufficiency.

I find this comment a bit of a slap in the face to some who are trying earnestly to help, the reason is these changes were imposed recently and to be honest no one knows; with this said forum members are trying their best to find out - I have read several blogs recently here where members had made calls to various BIQ's and sent emails to same to get some clarity. Have patience my friend, everyone is still trying to help...

Older seniors may not be able to give any sound advice as these changes are new, and those who applied this year will not have any experience to share what was really accepted until next year as they have just applied. We are just like you and trying to help others in light of this shifting sand called "Quebec Immigration rules to come" I'm kindly asking you, just couch what you have to say in a more positive manner please...

I have already obtained my QCS. So when I arrive in Quebec I won't need to show proof of funds upon arrival?

Thanks for your help.

Account statement isn't required through out the process of CSQ. I applied through a consultant and was surprised when I was instructed not to take account statement with me for the interview. Truthful at the interview it wasn't request.

Cheers.

I think people here on this forum are doing the very best they can do to help each other as every case is differnet from other depending upon the capacities and requirement of the applicant. the rules are being changed continuously since last year and frankly speaking very one is little bit confused but trust me the members on this forum are and will use every medium to solve each other problems...

Just follow the instructions given by BIQ for bringing the documents at the time of interview..
