i hav visited engineerscanada.ca website.......in that they hav International-Education Assessment Program....through that v can evaluate our degree as per Quebec standard.......
i want to know... will this worth for getting points for Quebec equivalency

Maybe that might do but we should note that Quebec authorities might want such equivalence certificate from Ordre des ingenieur du Quebec and not the overall candian engineers body. It is quebec equivalence and not Canadian equivalence!(silly if you ask me though)

It depends on where you're applying from and other factors also count. It would helpful if you tell us about your country of permanent residence, education & experience etc. Ideally it could take anywhere between 12 - 24 months. Others pls comment !

I think its better not to manipulate things which are not relevant to QSW...Secondly one thing every one on the forum should understand that when we evaluate our case before lodging our application we just consulted the website they have mentioned and while giving our input if we luckily qualify we consider that we are eligible but they have also mentioned on the same website "We remind you that this evaluation does not lead to a formal decision within the meaning of the Law on immigration in Quebec, but allows you to obtain an opinion on your candidature from the ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles"...It just give an oppinion on our case & rest of the things which are not included in the website or in the evaluation process really matters...

Hello Guys,

I am new to this site. I am working in Montreal as a worker. I applied for CSQ at 20th August. I went to their office in Montreal to submit my documents. They told me its total 8 month process and i will get i file no. within 2 months. But surprising i got my file no yesterday, that was so quick.

by qualification they mean, highest level of degree u achieved eog bacelors, masters, PHD etc
by training they mean major subject in which u have received ur degree, like chemistry, marketing, finance etc...

others pls comment.

Hi Shahi,
I have applied for CSQ in June-2009 and i received letter informing that i am in queue of selection interview in May-2010.

Today,My one friend who has applied in May-2009 got letter for Selection interview on 9 Nov in New Delhi.

So ,i hope that we will get interview call soon.

I m surprised it took these ppl 1.5 yrs to call for an interview..its a bit too long..hats of for ur patience...i had mailed last month asking the probable date of the interview and they replied END OF THE YEAR..in NEW DELHI..i got this letter for interview waiting list in July ... so i m hoping too i get the interview letter soon...!! How did ur friend get the interview date?? Mail, E-mail or telephone

Looking at your time frame, it looks that it tokk only one month to receive you AOR!!! Why delay to get you interview confirmation letter?

I am not sure if any of you could help to answer this question:

I am Jordanian Living & Working in QATAR, My De Facto Spouse in Romanian and living a7 working with me as well, after getting the CSQ, We have to apply to Abu Dhabi for PR, They are asking for:

5. POLICE CERTIFICATE (FOR APPLICANTS 18 AND OVER)
Valid Original Police Clearance Certificate issued by the competent authority of any
country where you have resided for more than 6 months since your 18th birthday.

is it including my Home country & Qatar? or just Qatar Police Clearance?

All the places you have lived(more than 6 months) and your spouse...after age of 18 yrs..you would need a PCC from that place!!
