My started her basic french and discontinued it for personal reasons. I am wondering should I ask my wife to continue her french, and take the Delf A1.

I am taking my A2 in May.

You won't believe it that I didn't get any AOR till I got the mail for the interview. Just keep checking your mail often as you might possibly not get any AOR as well you never can say.

Hello guys,

BIQ, Hong Kong really rocks to issue first AOR !!!!!!!!!

Today I got my first AOR from BIQ, Hong Kong. You can see my timeline at the left side.

Also in my AOR they written in the field of "Categorie D'immigration " is " IQ" . So I wanted to know that what does that IQ means?

and do the first AOR means I have scored enough points (i.e. 49 points) to go ahead for them? or they first review my application and then they will decide regarding my eligibility?

Also Hope that all our forum members (especially from Paris office) who is still waiting for their AOR will also get it soon .

Don't worry , I hope that you would also get it soon. and who know's you might get directly an interview call along with first AOR as it happened with one of the guys in this forum but I can't remember him.

I received a letter (completely in french language) from Quebec yesterday (04/11/2011) in response to the application submitted in end of February 2011.

I tried to translate from french to English to understand the letter and it says, they have received my documents for selection of certificate and gave me a reference file number start with letter N and also asking to notify if any changes inlcude marital,children,address,email.

Also I got invoice letter with receipt attached that they charged my credit card for fee ( 699 CAD = 152+152+395).
Every one in this forum talking about AOR, will I get that one in separate or my letter which I received is AOR?

Is there any status check available using the case number?

Please share your thoughts about my letter...

Hello Vasu,

yes, congratulations !!!!!!!!! the letter u received is your first AOR and for your second question the answer is that there is no any status check like system available using that file no. mention in the AOR for CSQ. That file no. is useful to mention while correspondence with BIQ for any update regarding your status change.

Area of training is Software Development ( IT)
qualification is Master of Computer Applications ( MCA) from India
