As your points without french is 58 you may not receive one such communication. However, its only on the interviewer's discretion that your CSQ will be granted, improving on the french skills will definitely help, though it will not be a mandated rule for your selection. usually adaptability points are gained with higher french scores and if you increase to B2 you can be sure of your CSQ,

Hi all,

i am a nurse by profession and having more than 2 years experience.I sent my QSW file today only.I filed my application along with my wife and she is also a nurse with adequate experience in nursing. So anyone can help me to explain whether NURSES are in Super Priority for QSW program. Also let me know how long it will take to get the file number and CSQ.

They say the whole process of Quebec application to Federal is a good 1.5-2 years tops depending on your file (completeness, etc.). If you get 57-62, you pre qualify and should expect an interview for you to get 6pts via adaptability under officer discretion. If you get 63+, you qualify and interview might be waived.

If you do not cross the 57 point threshold without the french points, you will rceive a letter stating that you have to increase your French competency with B2 B2 in next 18 months. IF not your application will be refused, and if you already cross the 57 points you will not receive one such letter
Dear swamik,

Where you get this information that for upper 57 without french no need to update french points, or increase French point within 18 months. And also do you know how they consider this 57 points , I mean
Total Points = new AOT Points + other points as old - old french points + new french points
OR
Total Points = old AOT Points + other points as old - old french points + new french points

Pls reply me.

This is in deed positive, however, even for people within Canada or Quebec this is not the case, they wait for more than 8 months to 1 year for the process to complete, and in this case, all done within 6 months looks surprising.. Are you sure it was May 2013 that the application was submitted...?

swamik, yeah around that time. or i have to confirm it from him to make sure. but im pretty sure that he submitted his application within the early months of this year.

How many points do we need to get an interview waiver when filed as a single applicant?
Sorry dear friend to tell you that there ARE NO FIXED NUMBER OF POINTS THAT DETERMINE AN INTERVIEW WAIVER......a couple can have 70 points with no french and an IO decides to call them for an interview to evaluate their French competences!!!

So the only advice for you is, even if you score far more than the expected, without having french, don't be surprised you are called for an interview and a french level insisted upon you!!! Quebec needs people who show interest in french and will prioritize those for waivers!!! I have never seen someone with a waiver who never knew french 8)

My opinion would be it will on the date of the interview, Lets say you have sent your application after 4 years of completion of the degree, and your interview date is after 6 years. The purpose of the clause of < 5 years of completion of the degree is that you are having some amount of relevance with your qualification, else, it is highly likely that you will forget every thing about your area of training and your education will become irrelevant. And if your interview date is after 6 or 7 years from your degree then the purpose of 5 years will not hold good, Please note that rules are laid for the benefit of the quebec society and they may see if you have relevant experience on the area of study. Its highly likely that you may be checked for the experience in AOT during the interview.

This is just my assumption unless the quebec immigration authority confirm it, we cannot be assured of this though... And I dont see any document detailing this, and my response is just on the understanding of what Quebec wants...

I dont have the official document link, but I the one below will have similar info

http://www.mycanadaimmigration.com/english-quebec-immigration-how-to-file-an-application-with-poor-french-skills-and-yet-be-successful/?lang=en

But, actually I am not saying that it is mandated, but definitely if you want to improve your chance you can go ahead with improving with french irrespective of whether anyone receive a 18 month deadline or not... But it is mandatory for people who have lost points becasue of lesser than b2 french and have lost their eligibility
