Just to tell you all that I prayed seriously in church today for God to soften the hearts of the Quebec decision makers so that they shouldn't let New rules affect Old files, and that He should help them hasten up the Immigration process so we can all make it to Quebec sooner than expected!!!

Thanks Geochaddy. I'm also not a french speaker. I do have a lower intermediate level B1 which I reached in 3 months and I plan to enroll to Alliance Francais soon to improve further. That's just for myself, not for the test as I already took it. Application to professional order takes 45-90 days. I created a separate thread to discuss this topic in details. I've submitted my CSQ application under QSW on 19th July, I want to know if my file will be under old rules or it will be consider under new rules which are going to be in effect from 1st Aug ?

Please wait for 9 more days and hopefully in less than 9 days you will know all the rules how they will treat the old applications which are filed before 31st July, 2013, but if you see the new rules posted on Quebec immigration's website, you will see under new rules for investors (i know we all are under QSW), you will notice if investors have advanced intermediate level then they will prioritize the application. I feel as they have reduced the number of files to 20,000 in a financial year, so they will only pick those files which are at least have higher level of area of training points (16/12) and who have B2 level of French. All these are speculations......better at least those who have already submitted their files, wait for the new rules, and those who think their files are complete, please file before 31st July, 2013. Every fee cheque has a expiry date, e.g., 3 months from date of issue/6 months from date of issue, if they don't encash those cheques before the validity ends then they will not process the files and maybe they will return the packet and i feel they are aware of the validity of cheques.

JOIN US IN THE MOVING PRAYER AND FASTING TRAIN AND PRAY FOR A FAVORABLE DECISION TO BE PUBLISHED AFTER THE 31ST JULY WHICH IS JUST A FEW DAYS TO COME.

No one KNOWS what decision will affect your file, and others' , other than the Quebec Policy makers.

I don't think so. You might speak good french but you don't hear good french etc. So the only tool to measure your french ability is an exam certificate.

Hi,

The interview process can determine if you are fit with the required french, and I believe the IO will be in position to award you points if you have good understanding and speaking capacity in it. I believe point may not be required from a piece of paper. But, if you are good in french, why take chances, you can very well get a b2 / c1 /c2 and go to the interview without any fear...

thanks and yeah that is the only thing we can do, just wait and watch. I hope after the rules been changed the number of applications will be reduced and our files will be processed faster than before.
