If I am a protected person (along with my family) and one of the family members wants to go back to their home country, is my status going to be affected as well? ( I am not a minor)

I assume you don't have PR status yet. Who wants to go back? Is it the primary applicant or someone else?
We have applied but I have not received the PR card yet, and the primary applicant is the one that wants to go back.
