Protected Person PR application stuck at Security

Hi everyone,

I am really frustrated my PR application have been stuck at security, Its been 40 months since my application was received by IRCC and still no news from them. I contacted them and the only thing they say is that security is still in progress and that it's conducted by a third party (CIC or CBSA).

PLEASE ADVISE ME ON WHAT TO DO?? IM ALMOST LOSING MY CAPACITY TO THINK

I did not. There are certainly some on the forum who have gone this route. Try searching on that word and see what threads are pulled up.

If you have been waiting for 40 months, there's a very good chance that you will be ultimately successful with mandamus. That is, even if IRCC refuses to settle with you, the court will allow you to go to a hearing and you will most likely win. However, going to court will be expensive, and even if the court grants you leave (allows you to go to a hearing), you should expect to spend another 10 months waiting for the court date.
