Direct flights by air canada are banned again until the end of July. Seems like vac’s will not open until then. Is there any way to get passport stamped from another country like nepal, i think their vac will open tomorrow. @neiljosh @canuck78

It has been discussed in the forum before. It is certainly possible, but very risky. You will be in a foriegn country without your passport not being with you. Got forbids if it gets lost by VFS or in transit.

It should be tried only as a last resort of sorts.

Student visa appointments are available from today. Will they announce about PPR in next week?

As per yesterday IRCC announcement one can travel to canada with valid COPR. Does that mean one can travel without PRTD or PR card? Please someone explain @canuck78

If you have already landed yes you need a valid PR card or PRTD

I am inland and it is like already landed. Now, i dont have pr card and they are not issueing prtd? Any idea when they will issue prtd?

I am trying to apply for PRTD through email. I have couple of question if someone could help me about these
1. Do I need to send my Digital photo if applying trough email.
2. If anyone received there PRTD, what is the processing time?
3. Will they request for my passport later on or do I need to send it after applying by e-mail.
4. Does all the document need to be in single file or different files for assessment, paystubs, etc..

Yes as long as your PR card is still valid you can travel.

I received the passport request today. I submitted the email PRTD application on 15th June.

Do I need to send the email to the id mentioned here? or any place to send the request? Please help

This is in regard to the above referenced application, which you submitted via e-mail to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). To finalize your application, we require the following:



Passport(s)

· VFS is our trusted partner for safe and secure passport transmission. Using VFS services is the only way to submit your passport. A separate envelope is required for each passport.

· All clients who receive a passport request letter from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) may contact VFS at PassportSubmission@vfshelpline.com to confirm their 2-way courier service.

· For verification, please include a copy of this passport request letter when you submit your passport.

· Please note that Blue Dart courier services most pincode locations. However, if the courier cannot enter due to the current COVID containment zones, you will need to wait until the courier can enter. If Blue Dart does not operate in your pincode location, send an e-mail to VFS to find the nearest Blue Dart office. Once you drop off your passport/passport request letter, the courier will deliver it to the Delhi Visa Application Centre (VAC). We ask that you Do NOT mail your passport directly to the High Commission. Unsolicited passports will be returned without being processed.

and within how many Days did you received passport submission request?

I sent them an email on 2nd june. Got their reply within 10 days. But, didnt get any email for courier from vac india? Still waiting for that?
