Yeah, she went though alot of pain (based on her post). So let her enjoy whatever she missed. Our turn is not much far though. Just walking distance.
U take GO train or TTC? I used to take GO train when I worked in DownTown. Now I work in local city, so driving.

i take the ruddy ttc. and yeah i'm happy for her. i hope our time is almost here!! and thank god for this thread. so glad we are keeping it going.. i had practically nothing on this thread when i first started it. now it's become a hub for everyone to come and chat from the same community. theres only a few of us, but it's good. at least we know we have each other..

Watnxt, my wife is in Jaffna. She wanted to go to Colombo and check with the Embassy abt the status. I told her to wait another few more weeks. What do guys think??

A friend her didn't receive any correspondence, so after 6 months she checked in and they said they will call her. Then, after a week or so she got her visa.

i think you guys should wait T7.. its a long trip to colombo... We are all waiting until the end of May T7. honestly this is like the breaking point for us. Once May comes and goes we're in the last leg of the race hopefully..

You know during my stay in Colombo, i never got to see jaffna. my dad used to tell me stories about how beautiful it is.. me being half tamil and half sinhalese, had a lotta restriction travelling up north. but now i know for sure that next time i will make that trip for sure..

Thanks Mel. So we'll give it about another month or so. One of my friend, he applied in September, app started processing in October and still no response.

You should really have a visit to Jaffna next time. It's very beautiful in terms of nature. I came here when I was 7, I went back there after 17 years. I was surprised especially Colombo, it's even fascinating. One of my uncle was very ill at the time so I limited myself. Hopefully, if everything works out well, I will be going back this year to bring my wife so at time I am planning to spend more time.

I just came to work and start from here.. lol
Yeah, I went to SL after 12 yrs. I went through so much pain when I was there. That made me never want to visit SL. However, I end up going there for my wedding since no other choice. It is really shame to say this...what to do...not all came from same situation.
T7, I am just one mone away from your friend. I applied in Oct. Still no response. Will see how it goes.

I think i already told you this, some people who applied after me already got the visa. So you may get visa before us.
Hope we all get visa before end of June.

my luck is very weird.. i have had the worst possible things happen to me. i have also had the best possible things happen to me. so i'm never sure what my luck and karma will bring me. that's why i'm so edgy all the time. lol. i never ever know when my life will fall apart or pull itself together.
