Ecas link is given below. You can log in as the sponsor with your info. Also the client ID is given on your letter.

Its used to track the status of your application. There is also one for the person being sponsored. But for that you need the file number which kinda looks like BXXXXXXXXX. It will also start with the lettter "B"

Mel, sorry if I keep bothering you. Another question please. How do you get the Bxxxxxxx number? What is the website to check the status of the person being sponsored??

No worries. Its the same website. Instead of logging in with your client ID, you would log in with your "immigration file number" and instead of entering your details (sponsor) in the tab below, you will enter your wife's info such as date of birth, place of birth and her last name as it is on the application.

The BXXXXXXXXX is generally given on any correspondence that the Colombo office has with the applicant (person being sponsored - your wife). Generally if they send you a letter asking for any other information, that letter will contain the file number.

ahhh but most people have had their updates after the file was sent on the Applicant's log in page and not the sponsor's.

For colombo however it makes no difference given that they dont update anything. Sad.

Waitting for Monday. I heard SL ppl are calling for day off on Monday for May Day. I hope it will be regular business day. Otherwise we will loose another day this week. There were 4 or 5 holidays last month. Which will slow down the processing.

Dont be sure like that. I heard some ppl, who applied after me, got visa last month and already in canada. So you guys may get visa before me. I will be still happy if you get.
Your wife lives in Colombo or Jaffna?
