Processing in Buenos Aires?

Hola!

Im getting more desperate by the day.. lol (actually its not that funny..) I saw on CIC's website that 30% of the cases coming to Qc were processed in 3 months or less from April 1 2010 to March 31 2011... I wish it was that fast.. we paid everything before, did the medical, sent all the police certificates..!! Seeing that NOBODY(at least nobody who applied in the past months) is getting news is frustrating... Really. :'(

How many times did you guys apply for the extension?

we never asked for an extension. It was not necessary in our case. We all lived in Argentina and I came here first (canada) months ago then he asked for a TRV since we did not see things moving along and I needed help looking for houses, etc. We got the PPR a month after he got the TRV.

Hey people!
My husband emailed the embassy yesterday and they wrote back this morning answering an interrogation we had. We took the occasion to ask about the status.. LOL they just said they sent an aor on June 21 and that the application is in process.. I was hoping a bit more but at least they answered back pretty fast! :

We got another ecas update this morning (via the tracker..I dont check ecas that often!! ) We started processing your application on June 6. loll nice.. only 3 months and a half later! I dont know if they would have update it without that email to annoy them..lol We'll never know! I really, really, REALLY wish that the PPR comes soon.. but I think its weird that like you emcanada who applied 1 month before you still dont have news! We have nobody really to rely on for the PPR after that update from BS AS...

Like always, I feel like im the only one talking on here! Its getting too quiet! :

the same thing would happen to us....i would inquire via email they would reply something like in queue of processing and then the next day we would get an email from them...you really never know....but if they said your application is in process i guarantee you that in 2 months you will get your PPR...start packing!!!!

awwww! I really hope so!! I keep telling my husband to start trying to sell his car but he is not moving! lol its been almost a month since they told us that! I wish this week be the good one! Thank you for your message vt! Gives me hope a bit! :-*

Alright I need an advice, again. My husband emailed them on September 14 and they replied this:

"A letter of acknowledgement was sent to you June 21, 2011. Your application is in process.

If you intend to submit a temporary resident visa you may do so at the Visa Application Centre (5 processing days) or the Embassy (10 processing days). Each application for a temporary resident visa is assessed on its own merit and we are unable to advise of what the outcome would be prior to the submission of an application."

Ok now my question is can I email them again? lol I mean.. I would like to write something like(but in better words): when ecas shows medical received does it mean that we are close to an answer and we should just wait a bit or it would be worth trying to get a tourist visa because it might take awhile more?

Since not many people have experiences with BS AS I dont know what to really expect from them and who knows, the PR could still take 6 months.. btw they updated something today and the processing times have raised a bit for the app. received from July 1 2010 to June 30 2011.. :

My husband doesnt know what to tell me anymore and I obviously never learnt to sit and wait like I should.. I feel powerless and I would like to know more things for sure..

i say go for it, apply for the tourist visa...worst case scenario you lose75$ if your husband gets approved before you get the tourist visa...but like you said, thePPR could take another 6 months or who knows how long and that´s a much worse scenario then losing the money!
...btw i just say we are on the same timeline, we sumbmitted to mississauga april 28th and BBAA received my husband´s application June 4th...we never got any news about meds though...
anyways, my advice is to make your decisions as if you were not waiting for the residency visa, its to random and we have no control over it so go see your husband or get him to canada on a tourist visa!! no point in suffering and waiting for imigration and their mysterious timeline...

hey everyone. well i,ve been missing forever. just trying to put this application to the side and it not be the only thing i focus on. No news for me.... kinda dissappointing. Im not on as often since i have no news and get bummed out that others in my month have gotten the visa or are almost there. Will just keep waiting. congrats on the good news. and apply for the tourist visa. there is no need to be waiting to see your hubby. i could not imagine being far apart for that much tim well good luck to all and lets keep waiting for good news

Immigration times totally sucks.. So many people are getting their visas so much quicker! I cannot believe that nobody from us are getting something more than a ecas update! I "got mad" yesterday and wrote to the embassy after an hour of looking at the same 5 sentences to be sure i dont "offend" them.. i ended up just pressing that send button.. Obviously they didnt write back, yet, and might never do so.. but at least i feel like i did the only thing possible for me. As for the tourist visa, hubby thinks we would lose time because he is sure they would refuse again (like the first time) because he doesnt have enough proof he will go back.. so i keep telling to ask for it and he keeps telling me to be patient a bit.. :-\ PATIENCE! even my boss asked me news today about our case and asked me if i wanted 2 weeks off (with no pay) to go there.. But i keep telling myself that it MIGHT be soon and i have to wait a few weeks..

If there is no movement before November I might go ahead and take those 2 weeks.. its been 7 months since we saw each other and let me tell you that its a chance that we are in love so much because ouff.. its hard.

The ticket is so expensive and it takes forever in airplane.. thats why i was hesitating cause 2 weeks is pretty fast after all that time!

I really hope that someone at least get news.. SOON!

OMG! I cant stop crying! My husband got the email for the passport request today!!!! I cant believe its finally over! AND! today its been 9 months we are married! ;D Im so happy!!! ;D ;D ;D
