Pre-Arrival Services Email Timeline

Received letter for pre-arrival on February 2nd. I've heard nothing from them since. My visa office is Manila. I feel like Manila is so incredibly slow with everything. That's just me though.

I got pre arrival on Feb 6. On 12 Feb they asked for missing police clearance certificate ( I had submitted three PCC but was arranging one from Italy which got very late). I submitted that on like 15th feb. On 23 feb I got passport request. Yaaay

Getting a pre-arrival letter is not a guarantee. However, think of it this way - IRCC is paying organizations to help you prepare to settle in Canada. They wouldn't make this investment if you weren't already approved or almost approved.

For those moving to BC, I do recommend contacting AEIP-SUCCESS BC or IN-TAC, they're both experienced in pre-arrival services. I think both offer services in Mandarin and Cantonese as well. You can contact either one as soon as you get a pre-arrival letter.

No update. I just got GCKey notes but I had ordered those in December so it doesn't tell me anything because since Dec. I got pre-arrival. The only weird thing is one line on GCKey status that said No additional documents needed has now gone back to "
The additional documents you provided have been uploaded"

Whatever that means.

At the time when I requested the notes, we had not got AOR2 or any confirmation that Manila had actually received our application. All we knew was that it was sent to Manila but we had no idea if they had received it or if it was sitting on a desk somewhere. Of course, since December I got pre-arrival (Feb 2) which leads to me believe the file has been worked on a bit more since then. Is there somewhere else in the notes I should be looking? It was a lot of information and the post explaining some of the information that you can find in your notes was very helpful. Unfortunately for me, the information I have is old since my file has, I assume, been updated since I got pre-arrival.

Update: We got my DM and PPR request today! It took nearly 2 months after the Pre-Arrival Letter for the PPR.

How is your DM and PPR looks like?
In my case inside of DM for PA they added a bullet "We sent XXXX XXXXXXXXX correspondence on February 26, 2018", which was a Passport Request. At the same time at MYCIC no changes at all from what I put above.

The GCkey and ECAS updates are very slow. I got an email for the PPR before anything else was updated:

The PPR letter starts like this:

UCI xxxxxxx

Dear xxxxxxxxxxx,

“The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following stepswithin 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by email...”
