Hi there,
I’m looking for some clarification regarding Section 5.5, “Time Spent Outside Canada,” for a Canadian PR card renewal.
When a child spends time abroad with their parent, who is a Canadian citizen, together on vacation, which reason code should be recorded for the child?
Would it be:
or:
Technically, the child is “accompanying” their Canadian citizen parent while on vacation. Would reason B therefore apply in this situation?
Thanks in advance for any clarification!

Would it be:
B: You have been accompanying a Canadian citizen who is your spouse or common-law partner or, in the case of a child, your parent.
or:
Other – Vacation
Technically, the child is “accompanying” their Canadian citizen parent while on vacation. Would reason B therefore apply in this situation?
Thanks in advance for any clarification!
