Mine everything got done on February 25th. And today I received the following email:

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Update on IRCC processing capacity for your Economic Class – Federal Skilled Workers (EE) application.
If you are a representative, please share this important information with your clients.

Dear client,

Thank you for your interest in Canada. We are looking forward to having you here.

Due to the impacts of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we’re experiencing longer than usual processing delays. Rest assured, we are still actively processing your Economic Class – Federal Skilled Workers (EE) application, but it will take longer than usual to get back to you.

This also means that we are unable to provide accurate processing times on individual applications at this time. As a result, we have removed the progress bar in the online account of Economic Class – Federal Skilled Workers (EE) clients. You can still get the most current information about the status of your Economic Class – Federal Skilled Workers (EE) application by checking the ‘Details about application status’ section in your online account.

In order to provide you with the most up-to-date information about our current processing capacity, we are posting weekly updates on expected processing delays by type of application.

Keep us informed of your situation
While you wait, please contact us to let us know of any changes in your application, such as a change to your situation or contact information.

Important information about Canada’s travel restrictions due to COVID-19
To protect Canadians from COVID-19, travel restrictions are in place for individuals travelling to Canada. Even when your application is complete, you may not be able to travel to Canada right away. As the COVID-19 situation changes, we regularly update our website. Visit the coronavirus disease page on the IRCC website to find the latest information before you make travel plans, and again before departing for Canada, to avoid being denied boarding or entry in Canada.

We are sorry to keep you waiting and thank you for your patience,

Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

It has been a month and no updates yet. The waiting is definitely excruciating.

Please let us know if anyone hears anything.

Regards and all the best

Amey
Thanks Amey....yeah I have heard nothing since mid October when everything was submitted, my lawyer just said that it falls outside the normal processing times due to covid. I will let you know if I hear anything. Best of luck with your application

I am PNP Inland(Alberta) on Express Entry stream with spouse as dependant. Am I considered CEC?
Details: I have created EE profile, then chose Alberta as my interest province and received provincial nomination to my profile as 600 points. I currently reside in Alberta

Since I am still in express entry profile am I considered CEC?

P.S. I have submitted PR application already -> AOR: May 9th, 2020 | Medical passed: June 30th, 2020 | Biometric passed: December 16th, 2020
No updates yet...

I’m the same as you, Alberta Express Entry, July 9th AOR. everything passed- been waiting on final decision since December 14th, no updates. Feels like they aren’t issuing COPR to pnp applicants atm

Hi,

Need some advice regarding GCMS notes,
I have applied my PR last year March ,2020 ( AOR 2nd week of March ), all done including biometric ( Oct end, 2020) just waiting for final approval but since then no update and still in back ground check processing.
I am planning to apply GCMS notes but my application is submitted by immigration consultant and they are representing me.

I am primary applicant, is it I am legally allowed to apply for GCMS notes ? Since, my application is submitted by immigration consultant, will it have any negative impact to my application processing if I try to obtain GCMS notes to see what's going on / where it's stuck ?

Thanks,

Anyone has any clue, what exactly are they implying as they claim to have verified the information I provided yet there is no decision.
I am an outland candidate and applied via Express Entry.

hi,

I am an inland canadidate, Even i received same response couple of days back.
They meant to say, your details are verified and all the required documents are in place but we are still in progress, final decision is yet to make.

I have been waiting last 14 months since applied under EE in CEC Class ( March,2020 was AOR, biometric was done in Oct, 2020) But since then no update and only background check is in progress. My application is in Ottawa Visa office. I believe whosoever application is gone to Ottawa VO is kind of delayed, not sure the reason behind though. Can't be covid reason all the times as anyway they took more than 2 times than standard processing time.

One of my co-worker( Inland ) whose application was submitted in August, 2020, he got his COPR confirmed towards 1st week of April. His application was processed in 7 months regardless of covid situation. The only difference is, his application processed in different Visa office than Ottawa.
I think it's all depends on VO and officer who deals with application

thanks

Hey!

Thanks for the intel.

Although, it is odd inasmuch as required documents are in place yet they are not just finalising and closing the file.
Almost as if they are being lethargic and dragging our applications.

Let's hope for the best.

Regards

Amey
