Hi. I am 28 years of age.

Recently I had given IELTS examination and got following scores:
Listening:9
Reading:8.5
Writing:6.5
Speaking:6
Overall:7.5

I am a Master of Pharmacy and having 4+ years of work experience in Pharma Industry.

My spouse is also Masters in Pharmacy with 3+ years of work experience.

This accounts my total CRS score to 398 as my spouse has got overall 6.5 bands.

This as everybody knows is not sufficient for ITA.

As everybody say, Student Visa is best option to immigrate to Canada.

I am confused whether i should continue with reappearing IELTS or go for Student Visa.

Are there Universities which accept IELTS General Training scores.

Please guide me through the process, as my age is running out for the max points criteria..

Thanks in Advance.. :)

Calgary, Alberta.
Reappear IELTS get CLB 9+
Try to get PR that way you'll have to pay less tuition fees if you wish to attend university in future.

I doubt any university that takes Ielts general. Most of em take Academic or PTE

Did you get your ECA done by PEBC?
Agree with the previous post, aim for 7.0 in Writing and Speaking.

As everybody say, Student Visa is best option to immigrate to Canada.
If by "everybody", you mean immigration consultants who want to lock you into a very lengthy contract, sure. The only real benefit of a student visa is perhaps the chance to get a PGWP to get Canadian work experience, but it is very expensive and takes several years.

Thanks.. :)

I did my evaluation from WES..Should i have chosen PEBC??

Sometimes get very hard to achieve a score of 7 in Speaking and Writing.

Further to your second quote, even I am frightened of the case so in a dilemma..

Having student visa does not guaranty PR. You may end up spending time and money for courses that you don't really need and not getting PR status at the end. I would suggest to put all effort on getting PR through EE.

That is a qualitative statement and is debatable. Recently even their government has proclaimed to make the immigration process much easier for those who are international students studying in Canadian universities. Nonetheless, most of these typical express entrees will also require to finish further education for them to be eligible to get decent jobs.
